I quite like coop games, cheating isn't an issue. If someone cheats so what, I just don't play with them and stick with people that don't cheat.

Or you get some mods that are more of a grey area and then its just checking when you start the lobby what your friends are happy with. Today we are using the pink dildo of consequence mod, good with everyone? Cool, lets go.

You develop a cheat and it works, then get banned the moment you use it in a competitive game? Or banned on a delay to make it harder to tell if it was detected automatically or on a manual review.

As AI gets better this is increasingly true too. Back when it was irregular fingers it was a lot easier. And tbh, there is plenty of AI content I don't really mind.

Its often ok. It doesn't have to be great if there is little to no high quality human made content to compare it to in the same niche. I don't think any human artists have made an album about the Isstvan massacre.

What percentage of players even do those competitive things though? Surely you could have an option to turn the orwellian anticheats off for regular players and only enabled for the sweaty wankers competitive players.

This is why I treat it like a rental. When I was renting my deposit was 10 days of rent and I didn't expect to get it back because I knew from someone else leaving that the landlord was a wanker.

I started homebrewing when I lived there, had a batch explode and splatter honey water all across the room. I quickly learnt to avoid the patches of carpet that were sticky. Knowing that the landlord wouldn't repay the deposit without me taking him to court anyway, I didn't bother cleaning it up.

Tbh where I work asking someone their favourite dinosaur would probably start a multiple hour long discussion/argument.

Probably because he is too autistic to realise that he shouldn't be working hard.
