Im not saying its the only solution

I 100% agree that functional public transport would be ideal everywhere But I would say its also good to have rhe option to bike. And for places that are really hilly or mountainous, do what other places have done and add bike escalators or tracks so people can still bike but not be dead at the end of it. Down hill is always fun anyway

Spare change of clothes and a quick mop is easy The more you exercise the less you will sweat as your body adapts over time The healthier you are and the more you exercise the less you'll smell when you do sweat.

There are lots of clothes that wick sweat away and keep smells away

Its healthier for you overall

I think this is the biggest thing. Everyone's complaining about weather like you cant just dress for it.

The biggest thing is that the biggest hills you'll get in the netherlands are when youre going over a bridge over the canals. Otherwise the whole place is below sea level.

Still though, we can definitely make it easier and better for bikes around the world.

I mean no, you can bike even when the weather is shit. It gets hot in the Netherlands. It rains a fuck ton in the netherlands and there's a running joke that in Amsterdam It doesnt matter which direction you're biking the wind is in your face.

People live in places where walking or standing make you sweat. Deal with it.

I would say the biggest difference is that the Netherlands is basically fully flat. Biking up hills in Seattle or Boston would be a bitch. But funnily enough weve solved that too by having mini lifts/escalators for bikes. It could be taken care of pretty easily.

Tbf what annoys me more is people who just hang out there on a straight road with no traffic in either direction and refuse to cross til the little white man tells them to.

Like use your damn eyes. There is no one there. Just cross the street.

If its a busy intersection, multiple lanes, press the button.

If its india, just fucking cross because its the driver's job to avoid you and if you just keep walking straight it keeps it predictable for everyone they will find a way to move. If you dont just start walking you won't get to the other side. In which case just stay there

Think about how many Einsteins and Mozarts all over the world who he and the other billionaires have killed through their policies and greed

Idk if I agree with you on that tbh.

Every tattoo I got was because I wanted to have it. Each tattoo is in a place that no one would see unless i was in a swimming suit.

I didnt do it for anyone else and I didnt do it because I thought I would look good or better.

I did it because I loved what I was getting tattooed and I loved the artwork.

Not a single one of my tattoos is to signal anything to anyone and none of the people I know who havw them did it for that reason either

I have a couple tattoos but I dont have a dog in this fight it is whatever people prefer on their own bodies

But you could argue the same way that not having tattoos is vanity and narcissism

If you got a tattoo of yourself on your body sure but otherwise im not sure how its vane or narcissistic in any way?

Jewel Box was open a month ago when I went and as far as I can tell is still open based on both their website and their Instagram.

Maine Beer Co has sit down service for sure

And the others pay their workers living wage, most have it on signs in the restaurant/bar/brewery and again i know most of the people there.

And again, thats literally how everyone keeps the status quo, by saying well this is the reality right now it will be really hard to change it. You gotta start somewhere and do something

Im in MA and there are places all over like deadhorse Hill, armsby, wooden bar, fox farm, jewel box, novare res, Maine beer company, treehouse, etc

There are quite a few restaurants and breweries around me that pay their staff a living wage and dont have any tips. You can tip if you want but they specifically have signs up saying you dont have to.

And they all seem to be doing great - theyre pricey but not holy shit expensive.

It depends which servers and at what restaurant or bar or place youre working. Not all of them make more on tips, and that always fluctuates.

Also having benefits and vacation time makes a huge difference. The places near me Im speaking of all give their servers and cooks and etc multiple weeks paid vacation and full benefits.

I know this because im friends with a lot of the bar staff and waiters at these restaurants/bars/breweries and I talk to them when im there.

I agree that this is hurting the workers, but what youre suggesting also just keeps the status quo the same and changes nothing. The entire system needs to be torn up, and that requires everyone in this country demanding better.

No it really doesnt. It reads as though they used Grok in the shooting of 2000 missiles. If you thought they just gave Grok control of the missiles and Grok went off like a 10 year old on Call of Duty then idk what to say.

I would say this is just as bad as Grok having actual control though, as I doubt these fools in charge double checked anything Grok put out about targets, hence the killing of 168 school girls on the first day.

But for months they've been reporting theyre using AI to choose targets im not sure why this would be any different.

They are definitely going to either remove the Endangered Species Act entirely or just slowly keep dropping species from the list as and when it becomes convenient honestly

My ps4 is my dvd player and has been since it came out. My parents still have a DVD player and a huge DVD collection.

They also still have an old tape player but my dad is currently in the process of converting all of our VHS to dvds.

He just converted all his cassettes so he could have all his music.

Im in my very early 30s. My dad is in his 60s.
