DK: Bananza is the first DK that I've not enjoyed. It seemed to lack the skill and timing elements of a typical DK game. With most gameplay essentially boiling down to randomly and repeatedly running round smashing things up to progress. It wasn't in the least bit fun, and I normally love DK games.
I wouldn't buy a Switch 2 for that game. But others might, and typically Nintendo prices drop little over time. So if your going to buy anyway, there isn't usually much money saved by waiting.
A year ago I replaced my Logitech Harmony Elite with a SofaBaton X1S, and I have no regrets. The SofaBaton is much more reliable than the Logitech was. The Harmony remote would sometimes unpair itself from the Nvida Shield I was using.
I appreciate a hub based remote might not be ideal for travelling. But there's not doubt other models that might be suitable.
The battery in my multimeter is from 1994. The low battery indicator has been showing, and the screen has been slightly dimmed, for about 3 years. But it keeps on going.
Back when I worked on a till, there was no option to haggle. But, I didn't give a fuck if you robbed off with half the store. So maybe do that instead 👌
A media center for watching TV (currently an Nvidia Shield with Kodi) and various games consoles are literally all I've used a TV for in the past 20 years.
For my hobby there's still lots and lots of old and relevant archived forum threads that regularly help me out.
But for new information, that has all moved to Facebook Groups. This forces me to keep a Facebook account, which I hate and would otherwise ditch in a heartbeat.

My HTPC is running Bazzite and boots into Steam big picture mode. I watch media using Kodi and control everything using a Sofabatton remote.
This setup is almost as seemless as when I was using an Nvidia Shield and a Logitech Harmony remote.
The keyboard and controller are not needed, except for gaming.
The only negative I've found, is that I've not yet worked out a way to power on the PC from the remote.
Then once they can ID them, instead of banning bots, they'll find a way to charge a premium for running a bot account.
