I stopped going for this reason recently. For the first time since covid I got no upcoming cinema visits and don't plan to change that.
I enjoy atmospheric movies, sometimes they are quiet and try to build up tension with subtle sound design.
Popcorn kills that. Like if we're watching some action flick crunch away. But if it's some atmo horror or whatever movie, maybe 50 people chewing with their mouths open and slurping drinks kind of negates the whole point of the movie.
Here in Germany the notice period is legally binding both ways unless both sides agree to end the contract early.
Usual notice periods are 1, 3 or 6 months. It isn't rare that you have to actually work to the end. And you know what? It's fine. Noone expects you to go above and beyond anymore at all. You are expected to prepare all your work to be handed over to colleagues. You'll train people who will take over your position if someone is found in time. You get to take remaining legally binding time off and overtime. On your last day at work you'll usually being cake and there is a tiny goodbye celebration thing going on.
Work only has to be as toxic as you make it tbh. Sadly many companies choose very toxic.
Sometimes if you are let go the employer will put you off duty for the remainder of the notice period. The still have to pay you though. Just without working which is nice.
Am I too old or too European or too non-native speaker to understand this?
I think this should be illegal. Feels illegal.
Or at least they should have to compensate applicants for their time and data.
Haven't used Arch (steam OS doesn't really count) but Fedora for a long time. It is great.
I moved to Debian because life circumstances changed and my OS moved from a hobby to a tool.
In no way should anyone draw a feeling of superiority, or inferiority, from this. Different distro for different use cases.
If anything disallowing anything just makes kids and teens want to do it even more.

How i wish people would do that. Last 2 movies I went to was one hour of extremely loud munching noises.
Can be but definitely won't.
Only buy traditional food with a best before date at least 3 years in the future.

That seems super neat. I'll try it out. Thanks!
Pissapointed.
I hate them on the go because they will strangle me if I'm wearing a acarf. Or the cable gets stuck somewhere on my backpack or bag.
But at the desk I don't wear a scarf or backpack so I prefer wired.
This sounds a lot like proving my innocence instead of them having to prove guilt.
As a single player enjoyer who mostly plays soulslikes and old school games it isn't all that peaceful sometimes.
But only one arm.
Is this one of those scam mails where you won something?
Most of my friends don't exactly live close by.
Unless you are there with someone else who is driving and not read to call it yet. But I'll usually step outside for a while or something.
This is how project managers think isn't it?
Is this based on the tabletop game?
