As a Pest Control Technician in the US, it's absolutely wild to consider using Neonicotinoids for agricultural pest control.

A very large part of why Neonicotinoids (Neo-nics) are so dangerous for Bees, is that unlike other forms of pesticides, they are "biocompatible" with plants (they're based on nicotine after all).

Even just getting Neo-nics near plants can allow them to project the full pesticide directly into the nectar, after the root systems pull the Neo-nics in.

Another large reason that Neo-nics are super dangerous to Bees, is called the "transfer effect".

Essentially if a Bee gets any of the Neo-nic on them, they can spread it by just saying "Hello" to the other Bees in the hive.

So you have Neo-nic laden Nectar, getting brought directly back to the hive... It's game over.

My Fiancee and I just over the last couple of weeks binged the series 12 Monkeys for the first time. Easily one of my favorite shows period, and it's a show that ended as intended.

If you've seen the movie, from other people's observations (I haven't watched it), the first season of the show vaguely follows along a similar idea, but it absolutely is not the same afterwards.

It's 4 seasons and 46 episodes so it's not a huge commitment, but the payoff is so worth it.

The show is one of the rare ones where it only gets better as it goes on, up to the very last episode. Truly underrated and overlooked.

"Alabama white sauce

North Alabama is known for its distinctive white sauce, a mayonnaise-based sauce that also includes apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper, which is used predominantly on chicken and pork."

Most of the time: it's more about the fact that bees are typically harmless, and calling a bee a wasp, to me, is like calling Starry, Pepsi, because they're both made by PepsiCo.

And yes, honeybees are a protected species here, meaning we'd need an apiarist to either remove the hive and capture the swarm, or officially tell us that the hive is too large to safely remove, without destroying the home.

While Ants, Bees, Wasps and Hornets are all in the family Hymenoptera, it is incredibly wrong to suggest that Bees and Ants are Wasps.

They are distinct species that are related to each other.

Sincerely — a pest control technician who is incredibly tired of helping solve "bee" problems, when 99% of the time, they have a Wasp problem.
