Sounds like I made a dumb dumb and it was actually a Thai food cart, not Vietnamese. It's been over 10 years since I went there, so I think I just cited the wrong country of origin for it.
They had Pad Kee Mao on the menu too, and their drunken noodles were basically the same recipe, just with fettuccine-like noodles instead of the wide egg noodles.
I used to regularly go to an awesome Vietnamese Thai food cart in a big U.S. city. The first time I ordered drunken noodles, I made the mistake of saying yes when he asked if I wanted it spicy. It took me 45 minutes and a shitload of water to get through it. But the flavor under the spice was excellent, so I wanted to try it again.
The next time I went, I ordered it again but asked for "white guy spicy." The old dude laughed and made one of the best drunken noodle dishes I've ever had, with the perfect spice level for me.
USMC boot camp was the first thing I thought of, "PT showers" in particular. All of the shower heads were turned on and the whole platoon would line up, strip down, and walk through them quickly. That was it, 80 or so dudes "showered" in a minute.
No wonder various illnesses burned through those squad bays like wildfires.
Just go slow and keep it wet. It might take some time to build up your tongue strength and loosen up the opening, but I believe in you. Go forth and achieve your dreams.
If that moment of introspection concludes with you being happy with your path and current situation, then who am I to judge. Carry on with your ballonilingus and be happy.
It's always disappointing to see how quick people are to shit on others' attempts to build connections in their own ways.
Yeah, it's kind of silly to make a blinking light app when the phone implies they could just call or use one of a million text-based message options.
But he set aside his own time to build something he thought she would like. There are so many worse ways someone can spend their time on a computer (or in general), I don't see why this seems worthy of ridicule. Also, why phrase it as "she wants attention"? Is it really any worse than her calling and saying, "I miss you" or "I'm just bored and want to talk to you"?
Is there really any value in identifying which places are losing tourism faster than others if the spread is only -65% to -53%? Is there really much of a difference in impact between those two ends?
Also, it would be much more meaningful if there was some info about how much Canadian travelers contribute to a given region's overall tourism numbers. Just making up some numbers for example, if Canadians make up 10% of Tampa's tourist traffic but only 4% of Yuma's, then Tampa is going to be hit harder despite the lower rate of tourism loss.
Not for me (usually), because I know it's a very complex game and that anyone who is more than passingly familiar with it is going to be better than me. My frustration level when I lose is directly proportional to the number of dumb mistakes I made. If I did well for my skill level and the other person just played better, then it becomes a learning opportunity rather a source of frustration.
This applies to other games as well. The only exception is when it's a game where luck plays a big role and it just isn't going my way that day. Then I'm not winning or learning, which can also be super frustrating.
The article states that he said that in a video, so I don't thinks it's necessarily a indicator of AI. It's not at all uncommon for people to use that phrasing when they're speaking.
But I'm not about to waste any of my time actually watching his video to confirm.

That's not autism, that's loneliness.

Can't care about cleanliness if you're dead.

The rest of your comment was read in a pirate voice in my head.
Was this reply supposed to go to a different comment? Because I don't see how it relates to anything I said.

...what was that even supposed to be? En Passant is the closest match my brain can come up with but there is no "m" in there either.

I wouldn't be so frustrated with AI popping up everywhere if we were given clear choices about whether or not we want to use it.
😘

I'm just honored to be called a legend by a shitpost.
