Yesterday I heard an 11yr old - who I’ve witnessed watching AI brain rot content recently - decry that some channel he was shown was “AI slop”, and was incredulous about being shown it. Now I know kids can change their mind very quickly and will just parrot what they hear and think is cool, but it felt good to hear a young kid say this to another, and essentially be mad about it.
iOS features a password or biometric lock protected “hidden” photo album. Photos placed there don’t show up anywhere else as far as I can tell. I haven’t find any type of app lock yet, but I would think it does exist somehow, as other features can be accessed and used while the phone itself is locked. My point is the ideas mentioned are all easily implemented, and should be more obvious and ubiquitous.
I went to see a movie once where one of the Step Up movies had a trailer. At the end of the trailer for it my intrusive brain took over and I loudly, sarcastically yelled “yeahhh, dancing” during the brief silence. The entire theater erupted in laughter. It was my Costanza “that’s gotta hurt” moment.
I’ve never had a calculator lie to me. Or hallucinate a number. The AI is a tool argument is getting tired. I haven’t seen it do anything useful at all that helps my day to day life.
Sorry, I should have seen and responded to this sooner.
For Refused - Rather Be Dead, Liberation Frequency, and Thought Is Blood are good starting points.
For Incendiary - Front Towards Enemy, Bite The Hook, and Echo of Nothing
For Propagandhi - essentially anything in their discography is good music and very politically charged. I find anything in their top songs to be good examples.

You can delete a video from your history and it will stop the algo from doing that. But yeah, it’s a really annoying algo.
I call this “cashew mode”
I’m the “tech guy” in my family and friend groups. Every time I need to help someone with something I have this experience and it’s crazy.
Yes, thank you for making my argument. The average person doesn’t have the right use case scenario in their day to day life.

Just normalize calling it “clanker” and be done with it.
Guess I’ve purchased my last Sony Console
I can’t even read this because of my VON or an ad blocker. I’m getting tired of Sony.
Fucking yikes

I appreciate you mentioned Immortal Technique. Hip hop as a genre is generally very political, and doesn’t get a ton of recognition for it.
They are rushing home to kiss their father on the lips.
In a country where we need a complete overhaul on copyright, they want to make laws and codes protected by it?! Lobbyists are a blight.
Mogami cables and Square Plug jacks. Both straight and right angles.
The initial investment of a high quality iron goes a long way. And is worth it.
Audio cables. I’m a musician and audio engineer. Soldering two or three conductor wire to 1/4” phono jacks.
I started making my own cables. Now I only have to worry about my own shitty craftsmanship. And boy is it shitty.
But hey I get cables at less than half the cost. And it’s fun.
