Agree that defib is still too strong. I still like the idea of it being a specialization, rather than a gadget. Cloak is so tricky to balance, because it is very new-player unfriendly
The world bored me as well. The whole premise of the game was to restore the land, but it just felt like a splash of (very pretty) green everywhere. Everything just felt so empty once it was cleared.
Amorim responded that the players needed to be changed. Wilcox said he wanted to work through the issues, evolving the squad over time but sticking with Amorim. Amorim reacted by saying he wished to leave the club and would be calling his agent.
Obviously it's just the source's viewpoint, but that looks really bad on Amorim. Surely he could understand that you can't do a wholesale wipe of all the players he didn't like. This whole thing is just such a sad story of this ongoing soap opera.
The drama of this club man. Seems like Amorim managed to alienate himself from his biggest supporters, the clubs management. That press conference yesterday was so strange, and I guess the management just had enough. But it just starts the cycle all over again
Welcome to the game! It’s great to read there are parts that you are enjoying. Try not to get too disheartened. There isn’t really a team balancer in the finals (except in ranked), so you’re playing against people with 100s or 1000s of hours. The good news is that it should start getting easier from here.
I would suggest playing more of the quick play modes to start off with, especially quick cash and head 2 head, which are more representative of how world tour plays. In all quick play modes, you have more freedom to play around with different load outs and can change between heavy, medium and light.
At this stage, you’ll still be learning the different maps, and how the game flows. Remember to stay near your team. Try to create brief 2vs1 against enemies, and learn how to get out of fights when you are outnumbered.
I love this game but it can be rough for new players, just because of all the different ways you can die. If you’re used to normal FPS, it’s tough to get your head around the fact that the massive building next to you might disappear in a couple seconds. Enjoy it for what it is, and take a break if you get frustrated
I loved the lore of the original and the asymmetric play-styles were really unique, but I think I’ve just outgrown my 4X phase. Still hope the game does well
It’s a weird rule to have when not explained. Seems like a weird thing to have as a bannable offence, but here is one possible explanation: Jeans are made from thick cotton. Cotton is slow to dry compared to polyester. Cotton when wet is also a very bad insulator, when compared to wool. Wet clothing can also increase chafing. So when hiking and you get wet from rain, streams or sweat, there are other clothing options that are better suited, and in cold climates, it could even be a safety issue.
I’m enjoying it so far. P90 is great but drops off at distance quickly. Will need to play more to see. Also need to get used to the new structures, but I like that they mixing it up.
Love that they managed to add replays. I think it will be great for new players to understand what is going on
The saga continues…
The blue and yellow is beautiful. I love ‘peaking eye’ shots like this
Looks great. I love how many maps they are committing to, while also improving the existing ones
I really like that they are trying to mix things up. Changes like these have the chance to make a big impact on how the game plays at all levels
Welcome to the game! Yeah, heavy is very dependent on team play. Hopefully the movement changes will make that easier

Crusader Kings?

I like seeing the clips here. Having any Finals content on the Fediverse is great

Finally! This seemed like such an obvious missing feature for something that you don't actually see in game.
I really hope this is consistent now. It was really frustrating to play against.
For me it’s the amazing nature that’s all around us. Our national parks are really top class

Great info! Really appreciate the response

Looks interesting. It’s been on my wishlist. Anyone played have thoughts?

Thoughts on the update? I’m loving it so far. Super impressed they figured out replays
