Look, l had made a lot of mistakes in the past when l ran this account. I learnt from all my mistakes. We do learn from our mistakes eventually. I've understood that piefed is essentially lemmy, but in a new avatar. But l really fell in love with piefed. Above all, l loved the way you've designed your instance.
@SpikesOtherDog@ani.social l'm in India. Here, not only the budget, but also the technology might differ. I'm at a learner stage, just setting out with the exploration.

@brucethemoose@lemmy.world ballpark is a perfectly new word for me. Anyways, l need to make my budget in ₹, not in $. I would be working on MX Linux, on xfce until l'm able to work on evilwm. It's going to be blender of course, and l'm going to use the blender 4 if not blender 3. And most likely Vulcan 1.2 of Godot. Not pretty much into 2026, but stick to 2020 items in my present phase. I was seeing that a bug's life was released in 1998, and if l can do something of that sort, l should consider myself more than successful 😃😃😃
@brucethemoose@lemmy.world exactly, it's an old desktop. I don't prefer a laptop, because a desktop can be upgraded. Moreover, l'm going to work with kids, and desktop would be the best to introduce the world of computers to them.
@Lembot_0006@programming.dev the machines that l'm talking of have been lying idle since 15 years. I don't know their specifications, l expect the ram to be 4gb at the most, if not 2gb. I don't even expect it to be DDR3. I don't expect it to contain any GPU.
@dohpaz42@lemmy.world we'll think about the future later on. For the time being, do you notice that I prefer AMD over other brands for GPU and CPU ?? Considering my choice, which brand would you recommend for the mother board ?? I tend to prefer that which other people generally wouldn't prefer.
