You know that there ate Eco friendly alternatives right? And we could have had them sooner, more variety and better technology if it hadn't been for the oil barrons suppressing anything not crude oil based.
Having a public transport/cycling/pedestrian centric society doesn't mean you get rid of private vehicle ownership in totality. It just means private vehicles are more for people who actually need them (like folks in rural areas) than pointless status symbols and the like.
Also I've lived rural and known people who've had vehicle cooperatives (vehicles are shared) that worked out better for everyone.
This level of cute aggression would be met with immediate and painful hostility from our cats. They (rightfully) expect personal space to be respected.
Love how people talk about stuff like 16TB being hardly anything and here we are struggling on 4TB cause storage has always been expensive in this country and is currently almost completely unaffordable.
I can't stand the whole Karen thing and would agree with you on the sexism there. But in this case, the article uses "her" and so in the fun little pretend story, using a feminine name makes sense. The same as if the teacher were male you could say, "I thought you had nothing to hide Dave"
I've used a combination of a 12 plug adapter + mechanical timers on my aquariums. You just don't plug into every socket, skip one between each timer, alternate on sides like a checker board and the bulk of the timers don't matter.
One power adapter I found even had larger spacings on one side for this purpose.
Better yet, if the artist has a website or something like Bandcamp buy from there so they actually get a decent chunk of the money you give instead of the pittance left over after the distributors and record companies have taken their cut.
Yes, but there were three gotchas that make it difficult to use for our purposes - one is that you have to have your phone on and connected if you want to use the same account on another device. Given I use my phone as much like a dumb phone as possible and turn data off when I don't need it (aka most of the time) it's impractical to use. We kinda got around this by having different accounts for different devices bit it left you guessing which account to contact someone on because you don't know if they're on their phone, laptop, PC, etc.
It uses a a chunk of battery and the devs seem completely disinterested in UnifiedPush.
A lesser but helpful feature that's lacking is web chat. It's a lot easier to get family and friends sold on alternate chat clients if they can try it out using a web browser they already have instead of installing yet another app.
Hello from another dum dum Hazel who is a tortie, void and ginger calico.

Greetings from a standard issue Loki variant.
Thanks, I hate it

Kiwiland or Aussie?

My elder parent was able to work Stremio + debrid just fine after we set it up.
Yep, when I was studying to be a vet nurse we were taught to tell owners not to give dogs sticks.
An previous courier didn't find my cross eyed Siamese cute - every time he dropped off a package he would complain that the cat weirded him out 😅
(My breeders reject kitteh wasn't even very cross eyed either!)
Things like Pokemon Go has already been doing that
And New Zealand

I mean, a Kobo + Anna's Archive also works without dead trees.

They have not. I checked again recently. And they're still somewhat hostile towards the idea of UnifiedPush

None of this is about online safety. It's not age verification, it's ID verification.
