Thanks for sharing! This my first time hearing about YaCy. Im always excited about peer to peer, and I hope this or a similar solution grows in popularity. About to try it now!

Thanks for letting me know about the barriers ad well and the current damage ai companies are doing. Hopefully, we'll think of something to beat back the ai companies and Google
Your post should have more upvotes! Thanks for testing and sharing the information. I'm going to try it, I don't have a reddit account anymore, so I would fail on step one (don't have a sus account) but I think the general idea is replaceable for getting people to join fedi from any other site
I've seen the video before and agree, superheroes rarely change the status quo, there are a few exceptions. I think the biggest mainstream example of this was Superman IV film, where Christopher Reeves' Superman decides to take all the nuclear weapons on Earth and throw them into the Sun. The rest of the movie was pretty bad but the fact that they did something like that in a big budget feature film is amazing!
Yeah I wish Superman would take on more social issues again. It was pretty interesting that they had Superman weigh in on a war between to nations in the new James Gunn movie.
I dont know where this started but I know there are variants of the same word in different countries, they say Ferenj in Ethiopia and Farang in Thailand

Skin of a pig??
Unless you thinks its ok to sacrifice Syrians and Iranians to placate Trump, I feel like you missed the point of the message

Edit: I looked it up and found a wikipedia entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farang
Apparently its started as a Persian version of the work Franks that spread during the crusades.
