I just got one. The lucid blue and digital teal aren't super bright, but they are cool layered colors that look different close-up and depending on the light.

Is that what banks are for? Savings account interest rates at historic lows of .4%, which doesn't even outpace inflation. We're essentially paying them to spend our money.

You could get a HYSA for 3%. Income is taxed, interest rates are variable. Not really many good options.

I look at it this way: true or false, something like this happens every day. I'm lucky enough to know an entire community of people who would do something like this, and I doubt they'd all post it on the Internet, so I accept this as the placeholder.

Walmart and Target are just as bad as Amazon. Bad examples. I'm from the US and haven't used Amazon in 2 years. I just search for other online retailers and I've always been able to find what I'm looking for at a price less or equal to what I'd pay Amazon. I don't get the pro-Amazon arguments.

They're unconfigured PoS systems. Look at all the different PoS solutions out there. You never know where or when to tap your credit card, hit yes before or after the transaction is initiated. It's generally smaller vendors not configuring non-out-of-the-box solutions. Simple as that.
