We can have all these things. Many therapists connect their patients to resources or even are volunteers in their community. I don’t see how these are exclusive
But also therapists are doctors, “people need housing not medical care” basically. We need all of them, holistically, every single resource we need to survive includes medical specialists. Would you say don’t go to an oncologist because the oligarchs want to die of cancer? What even is this logic
Also the oligarchs need therapy too for their psychopathy but their power systems wouldn’t allow someone non syncophantic in their circles so 🤷♀️ guess we all suffer cause of that too
Perhaps then you’re also reading into Americans obsession with therapy as being a [fad? Perhaps?], and less the reality that many Americans desperately need therapy and is actually a real, tangeable problem
Mmm, did they read your mind, or did your expression of your frustration warrant a response. (Doesn’t mean it’s fair. just adding maybe some nuance, but often people do suck)
Therapy isn’t “just for negative emotions” in the same way the doctor isn’t just for dealing with the occasional common cold.
If you’re being told to see the doctor all the time, and you’re being dismissive of it without a reason past knee jerking, maybe hear them out? You’re positing this openly online so I think you’re already considering this.
The actual poorest people right now are dying from disease and healthcare negligence or exposure to extreme weather, without much time or reliable food to get fat
In most games, the scripting language itself is not the cause of performance problems. Instead, performance is slowed by inefficient algorithms (which are slow in all languages), by GPU performance, or by the common C++ engine code like physics or navigation. All languages supported by Godot are fast enough for general-purpose scripting. You should choose a language based on other factors, like ease-of-use, familiarity, platform support, or language features.
In general, the performance of C# and GDScript is within the same order of magnitude, and C++ is faster than both.
Comparing GDScript performance to C# is tricky, since C# can be faster in some specific cases. The C# language itself tends to be faster than GDScript, which means that C# can be faster in situations with few calls to Godot engine code. However, C# can be slower than GDScript when making many Godot API calls, due to the cost of marshalling. C#'s performance can also be brought down by garbage collection which occurs at random and unpredictable moments. This can result in stuttering issues in complex projects, and is not exclusive to Godot.
I mean, yes, a compiled language is faster than an interpreted one, I think the docs even directly state this.
Edit: I was knee jerking at the “most people will tell you” because that’s been the exact opposite of my experience. Thought the above was relevant but not really
Genuinely, like, I know where the money went obviously, but what about the shear amount of time they’ve had to make anything, like what the hell was actually happening in that studio honestly

That’s only one form of therapy there’s a whole field and multiple disciplines within it, including the stuff you just talked about

Yes and

I was wondering about this
Follow up from the gdscript docs for my own reference:

I could see this saving money if I’m stoned tbh 😆
People enjoy a lot of things
That looks sooooo nice good work
