A real shortage would imply that they have no capacity to produce RAM in quantities required to satisfy the market demand. They do and they simply choose not to do that. They also continuously keep throwing in these "news" about RAM prices staying high for a decade to come, driving panic purchases up to further solidify "shortage" claims in the consumer market.
Even if another manufacturer enters the market, why is everyone so convinced they are just going to spit out cheap RAM? If anyone is going to invest in RAM now, it's going to be solely for the insane profits. Case in point: the RAM you are talking about is already 600€+

As far as I could tell Neuveu drivers do not support older cards at all. It does load into the environment, but crashes as soon as there's any rendering trying to happen.
On Steam you can, you request a refund (effectively just removing the game from your acc) and then your friend needs to request it as well for it to proceed.

While this is also that I miss being able to tinker with "natively" with Nvidia, you can upgrade FSR with PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE, same with PROTON_DLSS_UPGRADE, limit FPS with either DXVK_FRAME_RATE or something else like mangohud, and ReShade does exist on Linux, you just load it differently, same with stuff like Lossless Scaling. I don't know what kind of optimizations you use from AMD, but on Nvidia it's literally just preconfigured graphics settings. Anticheats are shit from a butt, yeah.

How so? Nvidia dropped support, so as it stands you are at the mercy of the distro maintainers to keep the old drivers in the repos.
