Now you're living with someone who dreams of being a risky fart, the kitchen counter has won a war of attrition against your left hip bone, and you will never be free of the heady aroma of Lynx & gamer rinsed in a little stagnant water, and you cannot begin the day without a slug of cheap whiskey.

Furnishings are all hired for the photos/viewings from one of those property dressing companies, because apparently many buyers can't imagine furnished rooms. Typically you can opt to buy these as a job lot from the property dresser. The overall look is simultaneously tacky & bland but really not bad compared to most dressed places.

Sheetrock in the fireplaces is likely because the refurbishment isn't yet 100% completed per the text. The inserts are either still at the restorers or still being recreated to the original design.

The restoration looks way too harsh in many areas, but if the house was in particularly bad shape before work began, it gets hard to fix damage and retain the softness of age whilst complying with building regs.

Spotlights, however, are death. Whichever heritage officer they worked with should have forbade them that.

Mrrrm, I think we've all felt this or similar sentiments about many categories of convict, and especially those guilty of violent crimes, but I don't have enough faith in the system to back the idea of a label in perpetuity by default. We can look into each other's backgrounds if we're so inclined, but otherwise I'd prefer for convicted offenders who have served their sentence to feel they can be contributors to society, and not to remain mired in the anti-social, dangerous paradigm from whence their bad behaviour emerged. These aren't people who set out with a sense of boundaries or harm or why it is bad to rape. If we can't stop them before the fact, we have a duty to encourage them to learn these things after the fact.

Your favourite sometimes nudges my main one out of the picture! Adore the texture and flavour and scent of udon. Usually have mine with soy sauce and grated vegetable ribbons, sometimes a dash of sesame seed oil, sometimes an egg poached in the heat of the noodles.

What is this concept, enough?

Mine is four slices of wheaten bread, toasted quite deeply, with butter & usually with a lot of crushed hot chili peppers on top. Though I eat everything, adore most dishes, and am a decent cook, I have to make a conscious effort to get other foods into my regular rotation. Lot of that comes down to forgetting to eat until am shaking with hunger, but still.

Looking forward to rustling up a batch of your bacon'd water chestnuts.

Have been using a Firefox extension called Stylebot to modify how my browser displays Lemmy's CSS elements to me. Bit fiddly and clumsy, but working well enough, and the first few changes were a major improvement.

Seem to recall spending as long if not longer tweaking with the appearance of old.reddit.com via RES to get it to my liking.
