OpenTrack is alright :) The trick is to get it to play nice with Proton. I've some scribbles ott here: https://simpit.dev/systems/opentrack/

I also was with the closed beta of the Linux native version of the Beam Eyetracker, which is kinda rad if you just have a webcam/smartphone cam and want to get some experience without investing into more expensive hardware. It utilizes the same mechanisms under the hood but comes with a fancy GUI and a setup wizard so that is really smooth sailing for newcomers.

Nothing stopping you from making your own tracker with cardboard and a bunch of IR LED tho. Been there :)

by how many more people

Sysadmin here. Forget about it. People are a drop in the ocean on website requests nowadays. Anything is getting hammered all day long already by legions of bots. Mostly scrapers and many more bad actors. The numbers are staggering - one could simply not compete by hammering F5 for refresh any more.

People? Hah. We'll all have agents for that soon whether we like it or not.

I hate this timeline. So much.

Reminds me of the day we were sitting in a reenactment camp at morning next to a church with a wedding going on. Their photographer had the bright idea to let the pair pose in our camp. They asked permission so that was fine.

So they sat down at our breakfast table (with all the clutter still around) and the photographer asked them to pick up our mugs to pose with them and of course they started slamming together the mugs just as you may know this from exaggerated Hollywood scenes.

These mugs were not empty and had mostly coffee and tea in them from our breakfast.

The rest was a lesson in physics 🤷

what you think and hope they make a mirror? I

I hope to be able to contact someone to participate or at least report a bug to a project without having to register to a shithole that wants my ID "to protect children".

Yes I am angry. I know how "Papers, please!" ends.

Good riddance to anyone launching new projects like this. I'm out.

You can select a face and make changes to it like a sketch. So push pull twist, or if you select a vertices you can chamfer or filet.

Think this is the part I'm missing - as in I didn't find the option yet. For this particular case I want to increase the height of the selected part face.

Thanks for the detailed explanation!

Hm, nope, not getting it :( If I can extrude edges, or use that fase feature, it should also be possible to define the resulting lengths of the operation too, no?

I do not need this to scale later on.

Bringing Blender into this is total overkill for "I just want to set that inner height", no?

German saying: "Sind die Glocken länger als das Seil beginnt des Lebens zweiter Teil."

Roughly translates to if the bells are longer than the rope, the second part of life begins.

Unfortunately, as Star Citizen does not offer the same telemetry support

Ah… Elite doesn't too. Yes there is some telemetry available but the data (and frequency) needed for a motion rig simply isn't there. This can only be achieved by accessing the data from the game memory itself - which is what most games will flag at cheating. I'm not saying it's wrong. We won't see this in SC any time soon since SC has a highly competitive PvP community that goes bonkers when someone e.g. adds "night vision" using ReShade. These guys are so afraid of bots and scripting, loosing some perceived "edge" over others, that they will give a player doing such things hell. That's worlds colliding.
