Dwarf Fortress is 20 years old and still only has half the planned features. Tarn will be working on it until he croaks. Bless that man.

It's fun when you're the first car behind the truck and the guy behind you is tailgating close enough to see the whites of his eyes like you're the asshole going slow.

I'm glad to hear it's generally not intentional. It makes me feel good about letting trucks get back to the right lane instead of passing on the right like a dick head and prolonging the problem.

Meanwhile in the US: "sorry the one train scheduled for today was 3 hours late but now we have to wait 45 minutes for the oversized freight train to pass because the rails are privately owned and they get priority. Stop complaining. At least there's a train for you to take at all."

Had to drive an hour and a half to the nearest available doctor that took my insurance. I got a physical and then got recommended like a dozen other tests each requiring their own appointment. I take even more time off work to get a possible pinched nerve checked out. They do some stuff, tell me I probably do and should do physical therapy. It cost $800 with my insurance. I have not been to the doctor since then. Nerve feels fine after I stopped spending so much time at my desk and did some personal PT.

It also didn't help that English was standardizing its spelling as the Great Vowel Shift was occurring

It'd be more like a white guy coming to a space for black people and telling them that their lived experience is their fault

It wasn't always this weird but C spent too much time hanging out with E and I and they started to influence C. "Ke" and "ki" became "kye" and "kyi" and eventually "che" and "chi" then in some places it turned to "she" and "shi" then "se" and "si". Now we even have "the" and "thi" in some Spanish dialects.

Now that we can use drilling advancement made in fracking to dig deep enough for geothermal energy virtually anywhere, it's theoretically possible to have underground farms fed by geothermal powered lights. Someone can make an underground fortress that can withstand a siege indefinitely.

SandRhoman History is flirting with an unsub for this reason. They used to have charming art with slightly crude animation but now I think they have a mix of human art and AI animation. I like their stuff because they tend to focus on the less sexy stuff like the logistics of medieval armies.
