I’d argue that it’s more than just fame or celebrity that drives the paparazzi and other celebrity gossip media. I think fame modified by age plus the possibility of a scandalous situation is what drives it.

The paparazzi targets actors because the range of “scandals” they can become entangled in. There’s not much scandal to document and sell about an older comedic actor who chose to retire from acting to raise a family or a standup comic who chooses a private life for personal reasons.

I’d take out the 13 stripes from the US flag and just use the naval jack.

In general I think any flag that is using seals, crests, or text should probably have a redesign, not necessarily to remove the icons, but to simplify them. (US state flags are the worst offenders here.)

Belize has a flag that looks like it could be the flag of a midwestern state.

The flag of Cyprus is just an outline of the island which, I feel, relies too much on cartography for its symbol. What if you’d never seen a map?

“People having kids and wishing they didn’t” is due to a lack of options, social pressure, ostracism for choosing abortion, the stigma of remaining childless, and a whole bunch of propaganda.

People choosing not to have kids because they don’t want them is a relatively modern lifestyle.

For most of history, people having kids wasn’t so much a choice as it was something that happened to them.

She also acts like the “fear mongering” from medical staff had no basis in reality when there have been women denied medical treatment and forced to let sepsis set in while waiting in the parking lot or teenagers getting arrested for having miscarriages and not knowing what they’re supposed to do.

She also acts as if the laws weren’t written explicitly in defiance of established medical opinion (and biblical opinion for that matter).

I don’t know one that sums up Florida, but I know one that sums up how I feel about Florida: Fremdschämen.

Edit: Actually, I guess we could just add Höllenloch to it and get what you were trying to say: Fremdschämenshöllenloch or Vicariously embarrassing hell hole. I’m sure someone whose German is much, much better than mine will breeze through here and correct me.

You could also make sure to carry “off” to both sides when you swap:

25% off of $100 is 100% of $25 off

Oh. Oh, no.

Remember when I said that you have been thinking about this a lot more than they probably have? This is exactly what I mean.

If you actually love this person and you think they may not feel the same way, then what do you think will happen when you drop this bomb on them?

A lot of times the need to tell someone you love them is a selfish act while unconditionally loving someone is a selfless act.

Meditate on why you need to tell them.

Definitely a misdirect from the corporate takeover of everything.

I grew up in a shitty small rural town, but while I was in high school I watched the shitty “mom and pop” stores slowly disappear and the local factory vote against unionization only to be closed a few years after I moved away. You know what immediately moved in to fill the void? Wal-Mart and Dollar General.

My dad was so focused on immigrants taking his job and other insane republican economic talking points that he lost that job when the company decided it wasn’t cost effective to operate in the US anymore.

The graphic design of MAGA will be studied at some point. I think it has the effect of looking like some “Everyman” did it themselves. Who’s to say whether this effect is intentional psyops or just the result of distancing themselves from people who actually practiced and studied an art, trade, or discipline, but this shit worked on a certain slice of the population pre-MAGA, too.
