Please pardon my ignorance, but I don't understand why people are so mad. Owning physical media does not mean you can play your game. As long as games talk to servers and receive updates, they can be killed. For example, I own a disc for Overwatch (1), that has been a coaster for several years now. So while I 100% agree this is shitty practice, I feel like this is not new at all. Am I missing something, or are people just discovering this now?

Around Christmas, I installed Xubuntu on a 2012 Macbook Air, and it has breathed new life into it. This computer was running El Capitan, and Apple decided it wasn't worth updating. I now love it more than when it was new. No regrets. The specs are below. DeepSeek (AI) walked me through the process - it was easy.

MacBook Air 5,2 (Mid-2012 model) with: Key Components: · CPU: Intel Core i5-3427U (Ivy Bridge) · RAM: 8GB DDR3

When abortion is made illegal or inaccessible through state bans (triggered by the Dobbs decision) and birth control options are narrowed by revived federal laws like the Comstock Act (which criminalizes mailing contraceptives and abortion-related materials), women with unwanted pregnancies may self-induce miscarriages simply because they have no legal alternative—not because they prefer an unsafe method, but because safe, legal abortion has been taken away.

Whatever. Tiktok essentially opened this generation's eyes to Israel's atrocities in Gaza. People like to belittle it as though it is all just stupid kids doing dumb stuff, but I strongly feel it's a force for good.

No kidding! I see you're getting down voted since it was a beloved classic, but I encourage people to rewatch it. And Temple of Doom was so much worse. My whole family was blown away by the sexism and racism when we watched it again last year.
