My parents are firmly in the camp of "Indian food is too strange and/or hot". My wife and I love Indian food, though she can handle far more heat than me.
We took my parents out to our favorite restaurant, and while they ate their meals and expanded their horizons, they also made a lot of faces, didn't finish it all, and insisted we could keep their leftovers lol.
If I had to guess, they might've gotten burgers after we parted ways 🤣
Different generations, at least they tried.
My biggest pet peeve is people who won't even entertain the idea of something new being good.
Water isn't strictly required, it's just a lot more common over water. But it can happen during times of high humidity too. Or big pressure systems, like rain.
Is there any water between you and the other nodes? Or has there been big pressure systems moving through? Or heavy fog?
Could be the troposphere played a role in your previous success. Or fog. Or even tropospheric ducting, which can net you several hundred miles of additional range that would otherwise be impossible.
See it in Michigan all the time. We can't connect with Wisconsin because of the lake, but a few days a month, especially in the spring and fall, signals will make the 100 mile jump, and the mesh lights up.
My last trip was to a foreign country, 2nd world country. I brought enough clothes for half the trip, and did laundry in the sink with locally sourced soap. Hung them in the room to dry 🤷♂️
Hotel laundry was prohibitively expensive, though I suppose I could've found a Laundromat 🤔
At any rate, the towards the end of the trip we stayed somewhere with a washing machine, so we all did a load and hung them on the drying rack.
Clean clothes are important. Sometimes, MAYBE, I'll go three days on a shirt. But only for work, because I work mostly alone and don't sweat much or at all most days. But if I do? Or it gets dirty? New shirt.
In my normal life it's similar, I can MAYBE get two days from a shirt in the spring fall winter, but not summer. One and done.
Same with showers, MAYBE two days, I've done three in a pinch but it's gross. Gotta wash yourself every day. Can't believe people who don't.
I wasn't annoyed by them before, but I definitely found myself VERY appreciative of wheelchair accessible automatic doors when I broke my foot last year. I was on crutches, but still.
It was a weird new experience for me, being forced to not do something. Not because someone was stopping me, but because I physically couldn't do it. Simple stuff , like taking the trash with the stairs. Weird.
Depends on how much you care about the nails vs the wood.
I started with a big thin crowbar and a big sledgehammer, you can sneak between the wood and cut the nails with the crowbar and sledgehammer. It's a lot of work, and less the nail heads embedded in the wood, but otherwise it's very clean.
Then I tried beating the center 4x4s with the sledgehammer directly, this was VERY effective at getting everything apart. And it kept the wood planks looking nice. But it bent the nails such that they were very difficult to remove. You couldn't pound them out from behind because they were bent, and straightening them was a pain in the butt.
Finally I switched to hitting the planks from behind with a normal hammer. This beat up one side of the planks, which is ugly, but if you can hide it it's fine. And the nails stay straight, so you can pound them out from behind, and then pull them the rest of the way out from the front. This is what I mostly did once I figured it out.

I don't have much experience with that though.

It's great fun!
Nice work!
How's the ring?
My buddy just got one and he had a lot of false presses at first. I haven't checked in with him in awhile though

"I'm bot"
Get em, boys!

Nice! And thanks!
Helps when they're free 😬
🤫
Thanks!
🤣
Thanks! Mine are HT 👌
My heart goes out to you. My goal is to park my wife in the garage for winter, so I'm very motivated to keep it clean enough for a car 😬
True, but with an electric board, I only got a little warm, it was mostly relaxing
😬
Nice!

Oh that's good. I'll still look closer at home 👌
Thanks again
I will check when I get home, thank you!
