I thought the California redwoods proved it was a different thing limiting height. They get water from the air because of how humid it is and therefore grow taller because their main limitation was the ability to move water from their roots to the rest of the tree.

Of course, do what you want with your friend groups. Kick someone out if you don't like hanging with them. But if you can swing it, there are a lot of cases where it can be really good thing to expose conservative folks to leftist worldviews in a friendly setting.
I feel including conservative folks has a much more direct and convincing theory of change than excluding them does.
First off, good luck getting your happy memory. Second, yo I find EMDR to be like modern magic. It's so unintuitive on it's surface and so obviously more effective than just talk therapy. Why should tapping on my shoulders and thinking about things in a certain way rewire my brain so much faster??
