The issue with most debates that spread misinformation is that the moderator must stop the speech to allow rebuttal after each point. If the moderator is weak or complicit, and doesn't stop the speaker between points, then one side rolls over the other. A good example was during the 2016 US presidential debates. The moderators heavily favored one side, and allowed long unchallenged speeches rather than debate. We also saw something similar but different in 2024 VP debate coverage, where although Vance was immediately challenged on his statement that Haitians were eating dogs, the right wing news coverage simply ignored the rebuttal, even after Vance said "If I have to create stories, that's what I'm going to do."

My partner has the same issue. I don't mind bell peppers or seltzer. Interestingly, she did actually like our neighbors' bell peppers, which I assume lack some note of bitterness. Or they are different if they are garden fresh, but we have never grown our own.

Portuguese is pretty tough. I just completed my B2 level class and I still can barely understand more than 40% of what Portuguese people say to me, and that's coming from a background of also having taken other languages in American high school. I have since determined that what we learned probably wasn't very functional, and much was probably just wrong, but we only had to pass tests, not actually understand a native speaker.

Not just Americans. Right wing all around the world is doing the same thing. Even here in Portugal, same rhetoric from Chega.

Yes, I had an account get closed after two years of inactivity, even though it had a balance. But they reopened it as soon as i called them. Apparently they had old contact information for me and had been unable to notify me prior to closing. I only found out because it was a very small bank, and when my parents called them for something the teller asked if they had a contact number for me.

Yes, they are both at Quinta da Regaleira, but they are on different parts of the property, one at the lake and the other is up at the top of the hill. It is a large property with many nice buildings designed and built in the 19th century.

I'm using reitti, which I believe allows real time location sharing, if you enable it. I'm using the Overland app on iPhone, I think it was the same app on android but I don't have that phone in front of me at the moment (iPhone is for work).

I have had the same problem with some VPNs, but sometimes it works. Maybe your instance admin can identify if they allow any VPNs, or you could try to move to an instance that is more lenient?
