I didn't read much on the subject, but I have tried and owned keyboards of several sizes. At first I thought I couldn't live without function keys and a numpad, but you stop missing them real soon once you get used to customizing layers. So I bought a TKL (80% size) board and loved it. Then I started experimenting with smaller boards and weird arrangements, and drew the line at ortho layout -- not only was it not teaching me to be a better typist, it also felt like it was bad for my wrists. I don't have carpal tunnel or RSI and hadn't had any issues with normal layouts so I wasn't looking for anything ergonomic until I tried a friend's Alice keyboard. It just clicked, I felt like I could actually keep my hands on the home row, there were few enough keys I could reach them all without looking, but enough that normal typing didn't require weird chords and stuff.
Try some things out at Micro Center or whatever and see what you like
I'm a big fan of Holly Herndon. She uses AI as a tool/instrument, not as a substitute for writing or creativity. Generative filters and effects she applies to instruments and voices. Trained her own small speech model on a choir whom she paid and credited for their work. Released her own voice clone, Holly+, for free under the stipulation that it must be credited. She's a vocal advocate for AI ethics, attribution, and protection of actual creators.
Best intuition I've heard for this is that "things" can't move faster than light, but not everything is a "thing".
Imagine doing shadow puppets on the wall with a flashlight. You move the bunny left, shadow moves left. The further away the wall is, the faster the apparent speed of the shadow bunny. You might think that, far enough away and with a strong enough light, your shadow bunny would be racing across the sky faster than the speed of light -- and the crazy thing is, you'd be correct! The shadow (absence of light) can move arbitrarily fast. But the light itself is moving at its normal constant speed from the flashlight out into space, perpendicular to the travel of the bunny, like a garden hose spraying water. The time it takes for the shadow to even begin to move is governed by the speed of light. No information can be communicated faster than light because the light travels at the speed of light to illuminate the places where the shadow isn't.
I remember reading that in the Gulf War in the 90s burning oil wells were bombed in order to seal them and stop the fires. Wonder if that would help here? Maybe Ukraine could send a few more bombs for humanitarian reasons.
Would a nuclear or fossil fuel turbine power plant just tear itself apart if disconnected from load at speed? I vaguely understand that the load provides a sort of magnetic resistance on the spinning generator. Without load they would they spin too fast? Or is it a matter of there not being any easy way to dump the power by doing something useless with it like just melting sand or smth?
I believe Bluetooth is always on with the Meta glasses, at least the last gen. They offload everything to the phone. I got a pair as a work gift and only use them as sunglasses with headphones built-in so I can listen to podcasts on walks.
Are the free limits suitable for light media streaming by a few users? I'm currently running a simple setup with Caddy reverse proxy and port knocking, but my ISP doesn't do static IP and they change my address every few months.
What actually is the explanation for this? I've done the same on 2 old laptops, overall love using Linux but the battery life is like...halved.

Tented Alice layout is so comfy, and much easier for my fat fingers to learn than an ortho.
