Kind of funny, I look for games specifically that would let me drive my Dodge Stlealth, which is a rebranded Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT. This game did not license any of those but did obviously clone it with yet another rename.
The deduping is a little difficult. Obv matching files are caught with regular dedupe tools, but I've been meaning to make a script to use fingerprinting (dejavu is the library I think?) to find matches. Problem is the fingerprints are about as big as the music files themselves.
"unsorted" folder contains input.
"Music" folder has full library; any imports must go through beets.
rsync to remote backups; one scripted/automatic, one manual & password-protected.
Restores (needed once or twice) are done with beets import, but whatever flag that does "just import, don't tag"
I never do. But you could look through the list for anything that sounds related to whatever you're installing the package for, e.g. If you're installing a generic image processor and there is an extension for PDFs and you happen to be trying to process some PDFs, then there you go. By extension you could also research every recommended package but that feels like one heck of a rabbit hole to go down.
I started off with programming languages that compiled into binaries. I knew dos and bash well enough but wanted the convenience of scripting, just type in run, no compiling needed. I also wanted it to be cross-platform.
I chose Perl. TBH I loved it, but I kept hearing about all the cool things that would come as soon as Perl 6 was released, so I started waiting, and waiting, and waiting...
The XKCD comic, import antigravity, is literally what convinced me to try python finally. Haven't really looked back, even 13 years later when Perl 6 was finally released

Fully agree and admittedly my comment was more for giggles, but car's not stock; previous owner upgraded turbos and doesn't know anything about the tune. I don't know anyone who can tune an obd1 system so after I get the clutch done my next big project is rewiring with a post-1996 electrical system.
