Yes, for sure. Immediately.

I was on a $9M research contract that was cancelled by DOGE. Their website listed that contract as $9M saved. The problem? We were nearly done with the work. We had spent $8M.

The remaining $1M of work was data review, publishing findings, and preparing public datasets and documentation.

So they only "saved" $1M. But really, they lost $8M because at contract end we were instructed to destroy all the collected data and the government ended up with basically nothing. So that work and those findings will never see the light of day.

Cancelling that contract at that point was the work of fucking idiots.

That's just one story. The DOGE website has thousands of cancelled contracts listed.

Yep, completely gutless/meaningless: "If the Senator is unable to respond for either of those or other conditions, consider this letter a demand for his Senate staff to be honest and transparent with the people of Kentucky."

It should be a specific date and time when he'll start the replacement process with a specific date and time when he expects the new person to be sworn in.

Apparently Pog has never won on d'Huez. So I don't see how anyone else wins the stage given he'll be hungry for this. A breakaway with like 10 minutes at the base of the Alpe is probably the only way someone else wins it. UAE being weakened right now, and the potential need to make Del Toro a full domestique, makes this slightly interesting.

Edit: I'll be rooting for Kuss to get in the break. Somebody like him has a real chance if the break is allowed to get a big gap.

Remco certainly seems due for an off day too, but who knows. I could see him going into the red, getting angry, gesticulating wildly at motos and other riders, and losing 3 min in one of the Alps stages. He'll probably win today and get a minute or two on Del Toro, but not sure if that's enough buffer for his eventual Remco© moment.

Today (Wed) was mostly a snooze fest. But Philipson looked better in the sprint. But still not great, especially since you could see just how much faster Olav is than him. But it wasn't as bad as the other stages where his lead out team delivered him perfectly, only to have him shank it and come in 5th or 6th (or whatever it was). Still hoping my boy Bini can find a way to win a stage.
