Would Kamala Harris run unopposed?

Definitely not. The convention would still have happened and a candidate would have been nominated to run. The timeline and internal party politics would have been drastically altered, though.

Even if the Repubs didn't nominate someone, there were still third parties running that would have probably just filled the void.

A caveat follows:

Companies will, however, often voluntarily adjust pay packages after shareholders reject them.

I'm not holding my breath either way.
