When I ask the younger devs at work about their code they often tell me what they asked Claude to do instead of telling me what their code does. It's so frustrating.
My point is that AI assisted just means you got an idea or a first draft from it. The finished product is still your code. Not the same as AI generated, which is more obviously slop.
Not that I'm defending it. I abhor all this AI gas lighting.
Maybe they'll do a lot of high-fives and this whole thing will solve itself
So far I've thought about product management, still in tech. That way my 20 years won't be a total waste and I won't be forced to vibe code AI slop.

I envy those that can retire soon. I'm halfway through my career, not enough money to retire yet.
AI is the worst thing that ever happened to software engineering. I'm actually reviewing my options for getting out of it.
