Can you launch Android apps without them starting up a full-blown Android VM? I'd love some kind of translation layer like wine. There are too many services that require a phone app for me to switch right now :/

Why do you call strangers dipshit over nothing? That's really rude.

My comment has nothing to do with the platform we're on. Every comment section everywhere is full of the same comments whenever a word is not fully visible.

Its incomprehensible to me that this isn't mandatory around the world

10 percent sugar is pretty much, isn't it? Not that peanut butter itself is less calorie dense than sugar

They choose to roast small hardware manufacturers for their hardware/firmware security deficits and burn bridges instead of being constructive and offering collaboration once their security requirements are met by future phones.
They could voice their legitimate concerns without being such total dicks about it.

Is my fairphone 5 the perfect device? No, I guess.

Did I get to buy a new USB-C port for my nearly 3 year old phone after destroying the old one by dropping it in a full sink of dirty water and replace it in 5 minutes without soldering or phone repair knowledge? Hell yes!

A friend of mine just bought a new battery for his 6-7 year old FP3 and can keep using it.

If Fairphone can do modularity of that kind, imagine what big players Apple or Samsung would be able to achieve if they cared at all. Imagine GrapheneOS would not publicly shit on Fairphone for their flaws but instead reach out a hand and ask for collaboration to try and make their next phone compatible.

Oh well, hell is fine too, I guess.

I can't eat raw veggies, salads and anything stringy. It makes me feel all kinds of bad. I hate the fact, but I can't help it. I really can't. Most people don't believe me. It took me a long time to come to peace with that.

GUI has the fundamental advantage that you can mostly find your way around without having to know commands, syntax, file paths etc. That's a huge advantage for the vast majority of users.

You can create as many sub folders for bookmarks as you like and bookmarks are searchable just like open tabs are.

My browsers are set to forget open tabs and browsing history upon closing. I don't want to see yesterdays shit unless I specifically saved it as a bookmark. Otherwise I would absolutely drown.

That being said: If using tabs works for you, that's great! Neither way is right or wrong. I just have a hard time understanding.

Kate is by far the best GUI text editor I ever used. And unless it's a short config file and I use nano, I want GUI. It's not the 80s anymore!
