I’m just pointing out that people have had to work in some capacity to live all throughout history. People would still need to work to live under any system.
Nobody said otherwise.
.... the title in OP asked, "why do we live to work, rather than work to live?"
The response was "capitalism."
So: precisely under (not-capitalism)... we could "work to live," rather than "live to work."
A lot of the current health craze is related to the effects and aftermath of the covid pandemic.
Also I believe that the more people lose control of their lives and feel like society is in a downward spiral, the more they will try to hold on in the few ways that remain. What is one of those few ways: their own personal health and fitness. Not to mention that the gym is one of the only high profile "social"/shared spaces that remain, that are not just about shopping.
The protein recommendations coming out of health/fitness circles have been largely overblown, and are related to a fairly recent new marketing push
The problem with the SAD isn't necessarily a lack of protein, although cutting out a lot of garbage food and replacing it with healthier food would in many cases increase protein intake (but not necessarily by * that *much)
This is the deeper reason that "ACAB." Not because of isolated instances of a rogue violent officer (though that is bad). But because their overarching function is to protect the "system"
I guess you don't get it. You and I don't make these decisions, the ruling class does. You are unconciously identifying with the ruling class and nation state. Now if you really have personally committed war crimes, speak for yourself I guess.

The same reason a bad person constantly talks about how they are a good person

Some things are true simultaneously here:
The problem with the SAD isn't necessarily a lack of protein, although cutting out a lot of garbage food and replacing it with healthier food would in many cases increase protein intake (but not necessarily by * that *much)
Mamdani
That Mamdani's name? Einstein!
Yes. Society is very ill. (pats society on head)
Have you considered, although everyone is still a wage cuck, the government is popular and therefore "proletarian socialist"? (/s)
Book suggestion. The Democrats: A critical history. -by Lance Senfa
Spoilers: The Democratic Party has never been good, it's just been rehabilitated through a mainstream rewriting of / popular history

For most people, their peak physical potential is between 25-35.
And peak mental potential is older than that

They're too busy investigating the leader of Antifa for giving people things to read
Enshittification is what people say when they have no level of marxist analysis

Yes, but only marginally. The recent past is overrated as hell due to the present being so absolutely god awful.
