I hate driving and like the idea of driverless cars, but I’d far more like to have better mass transit and more areas that are enjoyable to walk around in. More space for humans and nature, less for roads and parking.

Well.. that timeline does match up better with Jesus riding a velociraptor

I have an H2C and it is my first, and likely last, Bambu printer.

I was ok with the idea of a “just works” printer, but coming from building Vorons.. Bambu has issues that I cannot fix and Bambu does not care or is just super slow to address. First layer is bad for ABS/ASA and every sliced file needs a z-offset to work. Bambu Slicer is not great. My filaments are constantly getting deleted or won’t sync. The list of open GitHub issues is massive.

This nonsense now with a Cease & Desist does not sit well with me. I regret my purchase.

That’s good to know. I have only seen the SV 08 mentioned, which I wasn’t sure of the value vs some of the 2.4 kits.

I see there is a Soval Zero as well, that looks more compelling.

None of the manufacturers have been great with open source, other than Prusa, to my knowledge.

You can get a heck of a lot more capable printer than an ender3 at that price point, even with multi material. If you want to keep waste down though you would need at least a dual head machine, or a toolhead switching machine which I think goes above your price range.

If you don’t need a big printer, and can pass on multilateral (unless you want to get a small INDX system for it later.. for a bunch more money), at that price I’d spring for a Voron v0. Doesn’t get more open source than that.

Only encountered it once maybe two years ago. Was in a part of town I am not often around anymore and dropped in a coffee shop I used to frequent. The staff couldn’t have been much older than 20, all with bare midriffs that I have never seen in food service before (this is kind of a grungy art district spot, but still). Ordered my coffee and asked about their food which used to have some gluten free options, and got a blank stare for maybe 10 seconds.

That’s it. Just once. Not a general stereotype but I’m not exactly well traveled so maybe more regional?

I’m not saying roll over and accept fascism, and if it does come to civil war so be it, but civil war is not anything I am rushing to.

I get wanting to fight back. I’m mad as hell. I want nothing more than most politicians (on both sides) and billionaires to be stripped of all their wealth and power, and many of them to never see the outside of a cell. I just want to avoid being a statistic, or living with the memories of dead loved ones and bombed out neighborhoods.
