While I agree with the theology standpoint, unfortunately that & history (regardless of recognition, if it was most western countries that occupied the space they would have declared it theirs a long time ago) has made it complicated in the minds of people that occupy both regions.
The palestinians are treated as less-than and while there is a few people over there that could do with a firing squad personally I don't think the population should be responsible for the decisions of their leaders, Instead of just bombing endlessly on civilians israel could have instead allowed humanitarians in to not only allow people to seek asylum but to let the international civilians out.
Either way while I agree that there isn't always an option for peace, we will never have peace as long as we keep causing the terrorism feedback loop that just creates more terrorists. It's like when you send a kid into prison, he just learns to become a better criminal.
I know from their standpoint the Jews were "chosen" for certain things that's recognised by almost all christian religions due to the suffering in egypt. The thing that should really alarm people about israel though is that they wouldn't let the gazans leave the area to seek asylum elsewhere and even international citizens in the strip got caught up in this as well. I agree that it's an extremely complex situation due to the history going back Millenia, not 80+ years.
I think a good way around this is that any project submissions using AI must include draft material to show how much data was used vs generated. We will never get away from AI at this stage but we need to get to a trust but verify stage. Even if they built the whole thing with AI they should be able to show the amount of tokens used in the entire to generate it (more generally means they have spent time refining whatever it is)
We need to get away from AI=Bad and rather use AI as tools and don't help it replace us by showing 100% generated work as your own. Me using AI to make something is going to be much more polished and refined vs your general office worker. We need proper AI classes to help show people how to use it responsibly and collaboratively so we can cut down on the amount of duplicate work being generated as if we can cut down processing power it also cuts down the pollution generated.

Politics is complicated (well it used to be) and in the before trump times it was also very boring. Mostly politicians would oversee programs for civil benefits. Instead we are seeing enough money flowing into elections that could purchase small nations and the focus is on whatever the corporations find important.
Now don't get me wrong, I do think that neither party is doing right by the citizens, but one is for educating and protecting it's citizens and the other literally closed the department of education.
I'm in Australia and it's just as messy here but our Trump looks like Ronald McDonald in drag. We also had a couple of leaders recently that were temu and aliexpress Trump respectively.
We don't need a world "reset" we just need to all start agreeing that rules exist for reasons, and while we will never get it right it doesn't mean we stop trying.
AI Usage should almost be like that teacher that was really good at school. Engaging you to make you better, not replacing you or brainrotting to hell.
I do think the two professions that are likely about to die however are customer service (not all, just 90% of call centre workers) and non-tool assisted programmers.
AI coding is going to be the future but instead of just big corporations doing it people should be using it for building out tools they need. AI in it's current state is just a smart printer and I'm sure there are a lot of business ideas we haven't even come up with yet that will make humans and AI complementary, not one to replace another.
I would rather not have AI at all, but pandora's box is already open and if we don't at least try and integrate it into our workflows we will be left behind.

Agreed, but they have some amazing hacks using older architectures. They do produce motherboards and other components though so it's still surprising they are using a dell.
I think this is mostly because movies are not really a shared experience any longer. The closest I've had recently to a cinema experience that you wouldn't be able to replicate at home was the end of Infinity War. Sure if you had a heap of friends over it might be close but the underlying feeling of dread, sadness, anger and confusion could be felt as you were leaving the cinema made it worth it imo.
I'm hoping Doomsday will be similar in the way it handles things but if it pulls another Force Awakens I'm gonna be annoyed.
YouTube is starting (already has really) to become an echo chamber catered to those with DMCA rights, and trolls pretending that they do. We need a P2P community run video platform, archive.org's torrent platform would be a decent backend but they are also starting to kneel to certain groups too.
The amount of lead exposure during your life would also contribute to this I feel, we are fucked until money gets out of politics as it seems it's currently a DEI for older/damaged folk. Why do people have to have a fitness test to go and die but our people in charge don't even have to have a physical in most cases.
Aussie here, I don't think that this is a bad move at all. The meta glasses are at a price point that makes them rarely seen in the wild, however Kmart (yes it still exists here, but different owners) has recently had a sale of $20 "recording glasses" that can easily have their recording LED turned off and with a few modifications you wouldn't even know they had a camera.
I can understand them doing this in government facilities, as some won't even allow you to have your phone in certain spaces.
I do think with tigher guardrails (detection of environments, like if a set of meta glasses enter a restroom or what looks like a restroom it should disable recording entirely.) it could be allowed but we really don't need to encourage kids that secret recordings are ok.
