I like it. I’m not the target demographic for the genre of porn but having it there makes lemmy feel wild and free and unfiltered. Admittedly I can’t help but take a peek.

If I had to change anything it would be more news.

It reminds of the old days on r/all on reddit before they removed all the porn from it. I fondly remember scrolling like 70 pages deep on r/all and finding all sorts of weird posts

So you should check on your browser to see if you have your account hiding NSFW posts. Then also check your app to see if you have it hidden there too.

I've blocked almost 80 porn subs so far on Lemmy. 20 just in the last 36 hours.

It's been weirdly hidden for some people on here. On the Voyager app I see the porn posts but if I go on the liftoff app I can not find a single nsfw post.

You can also make an account on the server that all the porn subs are on. Browsing local on that would honestly cover all the bases for whatever floats your boat.

Like 85% of the subs I blocked are on the lemmynsfw.com server.

I'm just using the website from my browser, I've had that setting off since I knew about it, and I have yet to see a single NSFW post. Seems bugged.

It's gotta be bugged somehow. The percentage of people that say they haven't seen any porn is pretty high compared to the amount of porn I've seen daily here lol.

Hopefully the issue gets fixed because not only porn uses the NSFW flair. You'd be missing out on posters who just want to flair their posts NSFW to be safe.

It can depend on your instance, you only see things in "all" that someone on your instance has subscribed to. Plus, some instances defederate from others for one reason or another.

Man I hardly run into porn. It's mostly vintage memes with 12 years of jpeg compression.

The frustrating part is in subbed to a bunch of gaming communities, but none of them pop up in my feed.

Depends on your Instance looks like the defaults on lemmy.zip don't include much porn, so if you want it you gotta add it. My home instance is also pretty SFW as well.

The thing about Lemmy is that "all" means "everything that anyone on your home server has requested we federate to", so the "all" that someone hosted on Lemmy.nsfw sees will be a different "all" than someone on beehaw will see, because individual servers are free to choose not to make connections to other instances if they don't want to.

You can use an app like voyager that lets you block specific subs. I have the porn ones blocked but you can just block all the meme subs that annoy you.

On the app I just hold down on the name of the sub and it lets me block it.

Any community you aren't subbed to should have a block button in the sidebar. Block the sources until you stop seeing the things you don't want.

Or just ignore them and keep scrolling.

I've sorted by both active and hot and I'll see numerous posts from various communities from lemmynsfw. They're marked as NSFW so it doesn't really bother me but it is surprising since that's not something that ever happened on Reddit so it was unexpected.

Edit: after leaving this post to continue browsing, I came across three more NSFW posts within a few minutes.
