You JUST said new.......now you say hot. Heeeeyyyy what is this??? Some kind of scam???

Eiri@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y

They're providing options, like a poll.

AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 2y (7 replies)

Subscribed - scaled.

LordPassionFruit@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 2y

'Subscribed - Scaled' to catch up, then 'Subscribed - New' to interact.

tunetardis@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 2y (5 replies)

Are there any apps that support scaled? I've tried a few and no luck so far. I like the scaled view.

9point6@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 2y

Sync does

Chee_Koala@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Voyager

rzlatic@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 2y

TopSixHour

FarraigePlaisteach@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

That's the one I use :) I like it. Always a fresh feed every day. I don't view my subscriptions by default though, I view /all with a lot of blocking done over the months.

LordTE7R1S@lemmy.sdf.org · 14 pts · 2y (7 replies)

I usually change to new because

  • I usually get the same post over and over for a long time in my feed
  • not from the USA and I'm sick of the Trump/Harris drama
mrvictory1@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I blocked all US news stuff to clear my feed, there are a lot of politics related posts here.

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Same but with porn. Good lord are people horny for the weirdest things.

NOT_RICK@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Some Lemmy clients offer keyword filtering if you really want to get aggressive about filtering out US election stuff.

Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I want to control the percentage of stuff each sub shows me. I want to subscribe to news and world news and politics, but then 100% of my feed is politics, despite the fact that 99% of my subscriptions are NOT politically based.

NOT_RICK@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

That’s mainly an issue of scale. The niche communities don’t have as much activity day to day so you see that stuff less

mundane@feddit.nu · 2 pts · 2y

You can set it to not show posts you have already seen.

Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

I'm still waiting for the Harris trump sex tape. The one where Harris has a 12 inch black strapon, and trump cries out in pain.

Then nobody will want for anybody, and I csn nominate myself in the running, vote for myself, and win by 1 vote.

FarraigePlaisteach@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 2y

Top (of which there are several)

kemsat@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y

All, top 12 or 24 hours.

I do it by new, cuz if not my feed stays the same for like a week

Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y (4 replies)

Try subscribing to more things. Theres more to Lemmy than just linux.

artemisRiverborne@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y (2 replies)

I'm tryna find as many active subs as a I can. Any suggestions?

Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Well, what are your interests/hobbies?

artemisRiverborne@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Fiction, crotchet, gardening, hiking, dogs, humor, casual convos. That's sorta thing

Zonetrooper@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Absolutely!

Sometimes it feels like there's Linus and politics.

Crumbgrabber@lemm.ee · 6 pts · 2y (2 replies)

If you aren't sorting by new, you have no backbone and will never please any of the gods of war.

kionite231@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

"any of the gods of war" ?

There is only one god of war Kratos :D

Cocodapuf@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

I think you just angered Ares. I hope you have the right boons to take him down!

New local first ,once exhausted I jump over to new all.

mesamunefire@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Scaled and then new in a community.

ekZepp@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

All - New ( nsfw off)

AndrewZabar@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

I have everything by New. It’s not populous enough yet that there’s anything I need to skip automatically.

snooggums@midwest.social · 2 pts · 2y

All - Hot mostly.

New when I have been on for a stretch long enough that it is mostly repeats.

EndOfLine@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Usually in this order

  1. Subscribed - New
  2. All - New
  3. All - Active or Hot (not really sure what the difference is between those two)
  4. All - Top 12 hours
Anticorp@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Everything - Active. There's too many dead posts, and pointless posts to sort by new.

arefx@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 2y

Top 6hrs

Cracks_InTheWalls@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 2y

All hot until bored, then all new until horrified.

FrankLaskey@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 2y

Tend to start with top (day) for my subs and then switch to scaled once I get down to posts that are below 100 upvotes or so to see more posts from smaller communities that can’t make that ‘top’ cut.

All

That's why you can find me pretty much in all of the active spots, once every few days.

Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I've never seen this guy before in my life.

Resol@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

I thought I was everywhere. I was wrong.

Well, since this is your first interaction with me, hello, how are you?
