Each officer is required to wear 15 pieces of flair minimum.

ArgentRaven@lemmy.world · 29 pts · 1y (6 replies)

Immortan Joe had less swag on his armor than these guys! Do they worry that they'll get too many and not be able to wear them all, and disrespect Dear Leader?

SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 1y (4 replies)

Or collapse under the shear weight of them?

cabillaud@sh.itjust.works · 9 pts · 1y

Unless they are all plastic...

This fuckin guy has me dying 🤣

vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 1y

I cant tell if he is about to sneeze, shat his pants, is having a stroke, or all three at once.

P00ptart@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1y

Well that's ironic, cause dear leader has HIM dying!

RoidingOldMan@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 1y

Korean Forest Whitaker.

ddplf@szmer.info · 24 pts · 1y (10 replies)

What could these awards really be for though?

DaCrazyJamez@sh.itjust.works · 59 pts · 1y (8 replies)

In North Korea, it is tradition to wear your father's and grandfather's honors in addition to your own. This means someone whose familty has had a long military tradition would accumulate quite the display.

ddplf@szmer.info · 32 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Oh wow that's interesting, I'm radically ambivalent on this one

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 10 pts · 1y

If there's one thing that says socialist paradise it's hereditary positions and honors

Spiders Georg, who lives in cave & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

Justas@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 1y

Spiders Georg likes to gorge on spiders.

xep@fedia.io · 10 pts · 1y

In NCD, does it matter?

MonkderVierte@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 1y

It would make sense, since eastern asia has the focus more on family vs. individual.

Eheran@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y

Nothing.

too_high_for_this@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 1y (12 replies)

Why do they all look like stroke victims??

Also, what are the medals for? Least credible answer gets a prize

Why do they all look like stroke victims??

I think this is AI slop. Reverse image searching leads here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAQrbjDzP6o and the top comment is even the lemmy OPs joke.

too_high_for_this@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

God damn it I'm so done with this world

Fox@pawb.social · 5 pts · 1y

I fucking hope it's AI lol, it looks like a theme party in a retirement community.

mitchty@lemmy.sdf.org · 16 pts · 1y

North Korean medals are for years of service without being sent to labor camps by dear leader. They’re like Xbox achievements and get progressively harder as time goes on.

Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Also, what are the medals for? Least credible answer gets a prize

Valor in battle

verity_kindle@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 1y

Sharing skills and experience with junior officers.

ReCursing@lemmings.world · 7 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Cheese making. It's not credible because they have never seen milk, let alone cheese!

too_high_for_this@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 1y (1 reply)

This is false, generals are raised on Kim's breast milk, which turns into cheese upon leaving his glorious nipple.

ReCursing@lemmings.world · 3 pts · 1y

I'm sorry, I forgot about the Dear Leader's nipple cheese

::: spoiler ummm... That is not a phrase I expected to type today

Also it's my new band name :::

ICastFist@programming.dev · 5 pts · 1y

Also, what are the medals for?

Being on the same team as the great dear leader, who obviously always won every game ever

TotalFat@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

Platemail.

Flocklesscrow@lemm.ee · 11 pts · 1y

These men all look like pieces of fruit left out in a hot, dry climate.

Etterra@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 1y

One medal for each time he kissed deer leader's ass.

shalafi@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Is it tradition to create medals that look like a child designed and stamped them out?

too_high_for_this@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 1y

They're just foil from chocolate coins. Kim ate all the chocolate, of course

NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone · 5 pts · 1y

If we took away the officers we would at least give the soldiers a fighting chance, under equipped and trained as they doubtless are.
