It's funny how spam is almost a novelty on Lemmy.

The spam generates more spam by people celebrating the spam. Sadly keywords don't really work well in this case.

I thought this kind of thing was funny too, until I started reading about scam centers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scam_center

Turns out it's often carried out by people who have been human trafficked, and if they don't make good scammers they get forced into prostitution.
