There's definitely better (rule)s here tho

Also, FOSS is awesome, glad this exists.

This is me. RiF is Fun for Reddit is Fun for Reddit stopped working, I went to Lemmy and never looked back. Voyager is great. I like it more here.

the crowd here reminds me of the 2010s reddit. I vibe with people better even when there is disagreements. Reddit doesn't even feel like "le reddit" anymore.

omg same!!! i miss rif

Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1y

RIF is so good, I actually tried to get on board with Tildes just for having the same app.

SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

I was team Apollo and man does Voyager scratch that itch.

Taalen@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

You can make it work using ReVanced. Pretty straightforward process too. I do go back to reddit for some stuff where Lemmy hasn't hit critical mass yet, but they get no participation from me.

RejZoR@lemmy.ml · 18 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Thunder is pretty cool too.

Atherel@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 1y

Yup, only need to find the option to disable the function to collapse comments by tapping them. Makes it hard to hit small links.

Iceblade02@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 1y

Yup, quit Reddit when the RIF dev said he was done

wosc@lemm.ee · 12 pts · 1y

I'm on Boost, also very similar to Reddit

Kyrgizion@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y (2 replies)

For me it was Connect. Scratched that RiF itch juuuust right, and still does.

Zizzy@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 1y

Yeah, same went from rif to connect and havent considered using others because it just works how i want it to

lemming741@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

I launch it and get the changelog pop up. It's always a fix for little things I've noticed. Things I'd never think about otherwise, but I read the bullet points and see how they could happen and it clicks.

I left Reddit after the API broke down, and it took me a while to get a client because I first went with Kbin and it didn't work with Lemmy clients. After I got to Lemmy I kept waiting for Sync to get good. Nah, sadly not. Switched to Connect, and later Voyager, and I think this is where it's at.

"Broke"

sad_detective_man@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 1y

really wish I had just started here when that happened instead of trying to still reddit with Redreader. reddit without word filters is just such assssss

I have my home feed sorted by Top in the past 12 Hours, which helps limit how much time I spend on here. Unfortunately, my stupid monkey brain will see all the posts in that feed, close the app, then immediately reopen it as if I'll see new posts.

jballs@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 1y

I do the exact same thing. After I've done that a few times, I'll go "well let's see what's on Hot instead".

grrgyle@slrpnk.net · 2 pts · 1y

Yeah I might have a problem.

cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 1 pts · 1y

as soon as they make lemmy enhancement suite, we're done for.
