Iowa deputies extracted nearly 90 children from a Bible study camp last week and placed them in protective custody in response to reports of child abuse and endangerment, a state sheriff's office announced Monday.
Victor Bawi, the son of a minister at the church, said that no camp leaders have been arrested thus far. The family that runs the program denied allegations of child abuse or endangerment, though police are continuing an investigation into human trafficking.

If the right can gaslight enough people into believing that the Minnesota Assassin was a liberal and not a conservative, they can just as easily convince them that this was a secret drag queen child monetisation ring funded by George Soros.

It doesn't say it in this article, but it was triggered by a 15-year-old going for help.
A few red flags. It's a bible camp, it acts as a "rehab" centre, it has a message on its website in the chin language from Myanmar (interesting for the trafficking part.)
But... Maybe this one isn't actually that bad?

As a general rule if it has a relatively obscure language like Chin then there's some weird shit going on. I once stumbled upon a weird Roman "history" website in highschool where the available languages were English and Dalmatian, not any of the more common Italian dialects specifically Dalmatian. Turned out to be a fucking weird group of Italian fascists, what's weird is that they weren't even from Croatia or any of the other areas the Dalmatian language is from theyre based in the Northwestern Alpine.

It's more and more common to see private religious schools opening up to me and they've relaxed how closely they need to follow federal guidance on outcomes. I'm so worried for those children, literally having their future sold away because of a culture war.

The sad reality is that this is what their parents want and their children will live in it. They are being indoctrinated and will only know their "truth" upon graduating.
Then they'll pick up the mantle to fight the same culture war because that's what they were taught.

This is actually pretty accurate. Not sure why you got to down vote.
I read this article and another one that someone linked in the comments and it really didn't say anything at all.
I'll be up front and say that I have very serious problems with camps like this in general. However, the accusations seem serious and it would have been helpful if the article actually detailed them. Instead it said:
The article itself had hyperlinks to what seemed to be unrelated abusers. I'm just more confused.
What happened? Were children harmed? Will the abusers, if they exist, be held to justice?
Again, I have serious issues with programs like these in general. I might argue that abuse is indeed happening, but not in the way this article implies. unfortunately, the abuse that I believe is certainly happening is not kind of thing that would prevail in court in a country that doesn't seem to have a legal problem with things like conversion therapy.
