Star Trek strange new worlds has tried to follow that, with making the story make sense to have singing, but it’s just cringey.
I was mad the whole episode except when they mentioned it was affecting the Klingons, and basically finished the episode in the hopes that they would show that.
And it more than paid off. That scene was magical.
