It's real

thats german anglicisms for you. before smartphones we called mobile phones handys

LiveFreeDie8@lemmy.world · 39 pts · 354d (5 replies)

What is it called now? They are still teaching to call smartphones a Handy in german classes.

Zwiebel@feddit.org · 32 pts · 354d

That's correct. Do pronounce it Händy

Brett@feddit.org · 21 pts · 354d (2 replies)

It depends. Handy is still pretty common and everybody will know what you are talking about. But atleast in my circles we just call them smartphones most of the time now.

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 11 pts · 354d (1 reply)

Schlautelefon

Johanno@feddit.org · 3 pts · 354d

Wischkästla

Mirodir@discuss.tchncs.de · 14 pts · 354d

Me and all my friends all call them "Handys".

And to people not familar with English loanwords in German: Yes, the correct German pluralization ends with a "ys" and not as it would be correct in English: "ies". The same is true for "Hobbys" and "Babys", not sure if there are more.

Before? They still call them that

Hahahaha, omg that's awesome

mongo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 7 pts · 354d (1 reply)

Yeah handy is funny and is pretty common, but walkies is just what most brits will say for a dog walk and I have no idea where else it is used so would probably suggest it is a bit niche

Chronographs@lemmy.zip · 32 pts · 354d

It’s the pet play part not walkies

rem26_art@fedia.io · 46 pts · 354d (2 replies)

they know their audience

ceenote@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 354d

"We already make you degenerates bring your own grocery bags. We can figure out what other weird shit you're into."

ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 353d

Can I also interest you in tobacco waterpipe and belt buckles?

idefix@sh.itjust.works · 35 pts · 354d (11 replies)

I assume it's some kind of sex reference, is that right?

S_H_K@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 41 pts · 354d (9 replies)

The kink of act like pets it seems

Now if you allow me I'm gonna wash my hands and mind I touched tumblr...

lemmyknow@lemmy.today · 17 pts · 354d

And here I was, trying to crack "Walkies" instead

eestileib@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 14 pts · 354d (4 replies)

You don't like the idea of having someone gently pet you and scratch behind your ears while they tell you how pretty and nice you are and how they'll take care of you?

Cause it's pretty fucking nice even just as a game to play for a couple of hours.

MummysLittleBloodSlut@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 9 pts · 354d (1 reply)

I want to eat pellets out of a bowl on the floor

eestileib@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 353d

Enjoy! Sounds like you have your shit together.

The five steps to a satisfying sex life:

  • Know what you want

  • Accept what you want

  • Learn how to communicate what you want

  • Actually communicate what you want

  • Don't be too quick to decide who can and can't give you what you want

Every one of these is way harder to do than say though.

S_H_K@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 353d (1 reply)

Yeah this is more of a "walk in a leash" thing it seems.

eestileib@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 353d

I've both held and been on the leash at clubs.

"Can I introduce my pet to you? She really likes ear scratches."

People are WAY nicer to each other's pets than to other humans. It's nice to get that.

Out in the street, yeah more people aren't going to get it, but then again, fuck the haters.

ryedaft@sh.itjust.works · 8 pts · 354d (1 reply)

Oh, I thought that was called pup play, not pet play.

unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de · 18 pts · 354d

I would think that pup play is just a subcategory of pet play specifically for dog type human pets.

peoplebeproblems@midwest.social · 4 pts · 354d

Hmmm. Having a pet sounds fun.

But probably not something I'd seek a relationship over.

Eh, this seems like a niche enough kink that it's your own fault for thinking this sounds dirty. I'm kinda annoyed I know about it now. You should delete this post.

i_am_hiding@aussie.zone · 18 pts · 354d (1 reply)

You can't pretend you've been on the internet for more than a day and not heard of catgirls yet

tatterdemalion@programming.dev · 5 pts · 354d

I guess I am at least aware of it, but I didn't make that association when I saw the post.

Bennyboybumberchums@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 353d

You think you have a bad, I found out during sex with an ex girlfriends that "ageplay" is a thing... It really didnt help that she looked younger either. If she didnt drive a car, I would have been sweating bullets...

MummysLittleBloodSlut@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 13 pts · 354d

UwU I want walkies with Mummy

Rooty@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 353d

Expanding the target demographic I see

WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today · 4 pts · 353d

Maybe it is for humans, and we got them all wrong!

At this point though, I would be a capital P pet, not the fetish type that is. An actual fucking pet.

Just throw me raw meat and let me sleep.

AceFuzzLord@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 354d

I can think of a couple people I know who would love to have one of those.

Korhaka@sopuli.xyz · 4 pts · 354d

Yeah, they could make his/hers sets and call it mummy and daddy walkies
