if you're gonna use ai just fucking declare it

black_flag@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 20 pts · 1y

Remember when someone would actually bother to shop something like this?

hansolo@lemmy.today · 19 pts · 1y (5 replies)

Especially when ObviousPlant has been doing stuff like this for so long it might round up to a decade by now.

andyspam@sh.itjust.works · 13 pts · 1y (1 reply)

You don't even have to round, it's been a full decade.

The hero we need, but don't deserve.

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 7 pts · 1y

It’s for streaming, duh

hansolo@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 1y

This is a delightful prank I need to pull on someone.

FlordaMan@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y (9 replies)

How did you spot that it is AI?

dabster291@lemmy.zip · 11 pts · 1y (3 replies)

not OC, but the hdmi plug is square

turbowafflz@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 1y (1 reply)

And the textures are all just wrong

rob_t_firefly@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

And on the price tag, the alignment of the letters in "Walmart" is wonkier than either a real label printer or a human photoshopper would do it, and the serial number at the bottom has a bit of AI-text failure mode.

HakFoo@lemmy.sdf.org · 0 pts · 1y

It's clearly DisplayPort.

sunnie@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

the lack of a consistent font, like how the text has weird artifacting. also the slight sepia filter all images with the chatgpt image gen have

FlordaMan@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

Yea, I noticed the artifacting, but I thought that came from compression, didn’t know that is something AI’s do.

Hawk@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 1y (2 replies)

How didn't you spot it? This one is especially obvious

FlordaMan@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

It felt like AI but I just wanted to know specific telltale signs.

someguy3@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

Today you learn other people don't know the same things you do.

Redjard@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Op reposted it from somewhere, they may not have noticed. Here the image is from over a day ago https://xcancel.com/ChatgptLunatics/status/1961868529654767704#m declared as ai via the username. Depending on the intermediate that declaration may have been lost.

@Track_Shovel@slrpnk.net where did you get it from?

Track_Shovel@slrpnk.net · 1 pts · 1y

Lol facebook

hash@slrpnk.net · 16 pts · 1y (1 reply)

But is it bidirectional? I hate when I pick up an adapter only to find it doesn't support chicken soup to HDMI. Like my PC has chicken soup out, not HDMI, that's why I need an adapter FFS.

outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 1y

Why would you wsnt any other out?

DioramaOfShit@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 1y

Buying a whole Walmart for 19.99 seems like a great deal.

SendMePhotos@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

Hey! There are three rows of diamonds on a 48" shelf!

Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y

Wow, that looks souper! If I had one, I'd savor every moment. I wish they had more in stock. I was going to buy one, but I chickened out. Now I'm stewing in my own regret. It really bakes my noodle. I just couldn't make the the resolution. Don't judge me for my lack of fidelity.

stupidcasey@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

Most chicken soup is anolog and all you have to do is throw it up on the screen.

kruhmaster@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 1y

I'm guessing that was a blank shelf someone put that product on because, at 19.99, the Walmarts sold quite fast.

Everyone knows HDMI-to-food products are typically found between electronics and housewares.

EDIT: If you can't identify a joke without /s, I truly feel sorry for you.
