If he's such a communist, why does he have capital letters in his name?

Ging@anarchist.nexus · 12 pts · 333d

Name checks out... I've never seen one check this far out either, maybe a record

ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org · 8 pts · 333d

Who’s the guy in the old-timey photo? I wish there were something pointing out who it is; totally confused here.

hedge_lord@lemmy.world · 28 pts · 333d (3 replies)

That's santa, you just don't recognize him because the picture is in greyscale so u can't see his iconic red and white clothing

Rhaedas@fedia.io · 13 pts · 333d (1 reply)

So then he's a capitalist, all about consumption.

I think that might be Friedrich Engels. It's difficult to say without more information.

Must've been, I see all these paintings of him wearing a cross.

killeronthecorner@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 333d

And that cross grew and grew and grew, until one day ... that cross was wearing him!

Everybody thinks he was a communist, but in reality he was a Mall Santa 🤯🎅🏻

Smeagol666@crazypeople.online · 7 pts · 333d (1 reply)

Santa is the most communist of communists; giving gifts to all children just for being "good".

This is how I started questioning the existence of Santa, even kids I knew were little bastards got all the good gifts.

ICastFist@programming.dev · 3 pts · 333d

Also giving coal to the "naughty" kids, so they can spend at least one day warm during winter

ososalsosal@aussie.zone · 17 pts · 333d (1 reply)

Idk man so many people write about Nazism who aren't Nazis.

Maybe Karl just really liked writing about communism? Maybe we're all wrong about this Marx guy?

Kenny2999@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 333d

Looking at the logo, he obviously was just another misunderstood farmer-carpenter.

y0kai@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 10 pts · 333d (3 replies)

No thats stupid he was a Marxist lib.

Ging@anarchist.nexus · 10 pts · 333d (1 reply)

interdimensionalmeme@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 333d

I believe this is what's known as "materialistic revisionnism"

daggermoon@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 333d

ryannathans@aussie.zone · 0 pts · 333d (2 replies)

He just wanted to treat women as property of the state, and came up with a very elaborate cover story for doing so
