I use onenote on a Surface tablet and a Samsung Note phone.*
Some images as a background to draw on. Then only handwritten stuff and basic colored sketches. I pretty much don't use the keyboard.
*Changed one pc in the house to Linux, so maybe that's a future option for the tablet.
I still have a 20+ years old phone card for these that's not empty yet. (Used it maybe ~15x in that time frame.) Last time I used it was 2025 - from Tokyo to Yokohama. Might have been 10Β₯/min? I don't remember exactly.
I shoot RAW, then pull down the brightness and raise the shadows.
Works best with a camera sensor that has a wide dynamic range.
With jpg you can't recover much details in the dark and especially bright areas.
