WHAT IS THIS TITLE??? FACING SCRUTINY??? That's intentionally legitimizing the baseless report released by RFK's department of eugenicists

Have to be honest, never heard of Kenvue before today, always thought Tylenol was Johnson & Johnson or one of the other giant companies.

Aha! J&J spun off Kenvue 2 years ago, kind of like what IBM did with Lenovo and Lexmark decades ago.

Glad I didn't fall into an alternate universe or something!

On November 12, 2021, Johnson & Johnson announced that it would spin off its consumer health division as a separate company, in an effort to streamline operations.[3] The new company would assume well-known consumer brands such as Aveeno, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, and Tylenol, while Johnson & Johnson would focus on its pharmaceutical and medical device sectors

Interesting, so a consumer division vs. pharmaceutical division. Makes sense! Weird this is how I found out...

reddig33@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 337d (1 reply)

Such a horrible spinoff name. Sounds like Sears’ Kenmore.

adespoton@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 337d

I thought it was CBS’ answer to Barbie TV….

Makes sense when you understand limited liability.

takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 8 pts · 337d (8 replies)

So are they claiming is it just Tylenol or any acetaminophen?

RedRibbonArmy@sh.itjust.works · 13 pts · 337d (1 reply)

Trump tried to say the word acetaminophen, but gave up and just said Tylenol. That's truthfully what happened.

SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 337d

Aberbiajan causes autism.

jordanlund@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 337d (5 replies)

I don't think there's anything special about the pills in Tylenol, not sure why they insist on namedropping that brand.

Edit

Compared with Walmarts generic, from app, won't let me copy/paste:

I see, perhaps the goal indeed is a stock manipulation.

jordanlund@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 337d (2 replies)

Or at best, Trump just can't pronounce "Acetaminophen". 😉

Edit Nailed it!

Been there

jordanlund@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 337d

To be fair, I did hit that with one of my own prescriptions. Had to Google how to say it.

Eplerenone.

Ep-ler-e-no-ne.

SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca · 5 pts · 337d

More likely extortion and Kenvue said no.

JusticeForPorygon@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 17 pts · 337d (2 replies)

I can't decide if I think this is them once again devaluing a stock so he and all his friends can cash in before retracting their claims, or if they just really want women to be miserable during pregnancy.

Both? Probably both.

thallamabond@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 337d

Both, plus a third thing. They claim to have a 'cure', so someone else profits as well.

paraphrand@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 337d

Ugh, I was trying to figure out what the proposed connection was. Why babies were being given Tylenol. I have not looked at deeper reporting, and didn’t consider pain relief during pregnancy.

This is so obnoxious.

6.63% drop? lot lower than I expected.

Now is the time to buy (not financial advice) before Trump et.al. walk back the defamatory bullshit and profit like crazy from it

Catma@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 337d (1 reply)

Maybe its just because its after hours trading? Tomorrow morning it might be a fucking bloodbath.

CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 337d

It's up 4.36% in after hours right now.

phutatorius@lemmy.zip · 11 pts · 337d

"Scrutiny."

Funny way to spell "lies."

MyOpinion@lemmy.today · 10 pts · 337d (1 reply)

They need to sue Trump into oblivion.

Pondis@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 337d

Theres got to be a defamation claim in there somewhere.

CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 337d

It's one crazy thing after another with this administration.

Imagine taking medical direction from these dipshits. But that's what about 1/3rd of this country thinks is just fine. Based on what Orange Jesus "feels".

sircac@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 336d

Amazed about their obsession with autism while thinking how they will probably understand autism as something else...
