Oh, I dunno. I just had a pipe burst under the house because it froze. I don't think a quick psh psh up the faucet was going to help lol. If I'm honest, it was my fault for being alone that night. I shouldn't blame the plumbing.
Did you make sure to spray WD40 into those tubes before turning on that water?
They only said no for drinking water, not for eye cleaning water.
Get all the rust out of your eye sockets and lubricate them for grater eye-rolling.
Still not going to work. You'll want an acid like LCR to do the job, but you also aren't going to see any real gain from a sink faucet. I've done it to shower heads, but those have much smaller passages and it had to be over night.
I mean, that's how it works for stuff that's rusted shut. But you're right that an acid, even vinegar, would be way more effective. And non-toxic in the case of vinegar.

Why?
Fucking why?!
What's gonna come out of the faucet at night while I'm alone if I don't?! 😱

The WD is Water Dispersant. Maybe someone's under the impression water can "clump up" overnight.
NoSpotOfGround@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 351d
Water does clump up overnight in some places, but you'd need to set the WD-40 on fire for it to make a difference.

It can if it’s cold enough.

It's more what's going to have a hard time coming out of the faucet and that the wd40 will help it come out.
We all want it to come out butter smooth.

Nothing. That's why you need to lubricate them.

Gotta say, seeing a flaming dick fart wasn't on my 2025 bingo card, but then again it's a wild fucking year so I shouldn't be surprised

That's such an ad read. Wd40 isn't going to dissolve kidney stones.

OK, having intense scrotum pain. Instructions unclear. How do I pee the WD40 out?
Dasus@lemmy.world · 28 pts · 351d
Notice everyone, this isn't for any taps/faucets you might want to drink from.
So idk who it's even for lol

Most of us are used to no ads from the adblocker. These are still plentiful.

last week my professor tried to show us a YouTube video of psychology and got an unskippable 15 sec ad of a (borderline) hentai game 😭

onslaught545@lemmy.zip · 6 pts · 351d
The article doesn't say it dissolves mineral buildup. It penetrates the buildup to separate it from the surface it's stuck to.

It displaces water though so isn't there a risk you could move the source?
