The iCarly cast huddled around a spaghetti taco

Ok, sure... it's definetly an abomination... but on the other hand...

Upset that I had the same reaction. This is a war crime and I’m Netanyahu.

red_bull_of_juarez@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 336d

I mean... I wouldn't make this myself, but if somebody else brought this into the world, it'd be a shame to waste so much food, right?

BeardedGingerWonder@feddit.uk · 3 pts · 336d

Fairly sure my daughter would be all over these.

Droggelbecher@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 336d (1 reply)

There's ragebait stupid food, then there's stupid food that isn't half bad when you think about it. This is definitely the latter.

Texas_Hangover@lemmy.radio · 4 pts · 336d

Yep. Stoned me would be all over that.

Ohio's Mexican food scene is disgusting

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 10 pts · 336d

They can't keep getting away with it

FenrirIII@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 336d

I was going to say... Cincinnati chili spaghetti might work in a taco

LePoisson@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 336d (3 replies)

I know you're making a joke just for the record.

But, seriously, you can get some really good Mexican food in Ohio, at least in and around Cincinnati. It goes all the way from authentic abuela selling tamales from a cooler to some texmex deliciousness (shout out to Gomez), then of course the all time classic taco bell.

Also shout-out to tortilleria Garcia, great food.

zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 336d (2 replies)

You almost fooled us until you snuck in Taco Bell.

LePoisson@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 336d (1 reply)

Oh I mean taco bell is trash I just am saying you can go from super authentic to "Mexican" food all within walking distance of one another.

zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 336d

Ah ok, fair enough lol. My own mother has convinced herself that Taco Bell is good semi-authentic Mexican food, so you never know when people mention it without explicitly stating how bad it is :)

Almacca@aussie.zone · 16 pts · 336d (1 reply)

Put some cheese and hot sauce on that and I'd totally smash.

CaptPretentious@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 336d

Same. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't just be like "wtf is this, fuck it, give me four"

Suck_on_my_Presence@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 336d (9 replies)

This is too far, but have y'all tried spaghetti sandwiches?

There used to be a garlic bread seasoning I would use on buttered bread with grated Parm and throw some saucy spaget right on there? Hallelujah.

Unfortunately the seasoning was discontinued and any others I've found are awful

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 7 pts · 336d (1 reply)

garlic bread seasoning

I wonder what it was made of, garlic perhaps?

Suck_on_my_Presence@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 336d

Well okay yes. But it was better than just sprinkling some garlic powder down, lol. It had a bunch of spices in it.

Almacca@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 336d (5 replies)

And put them in a jaffle maker. You just unlocked a childhood memory. Baked bean jaffles are also great.

Pat_Riot@lemmy.today · 4 pts · 336d (3 replies)

WTF is a jaffle?

Oh shit, I used to have one of those. Everything goes in it. I can't remember what we called those in the US. Can't find them anymore. Probably won't be able to find much, soon.

Sandwich maker! We had one growing up and it was awesome.

okwhateverdude@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 336d

I guess when you've survived and thrived on the continent where everything kills you, you deserve to put beans in a closed toastie and like it.

smh@slrpnk.net · 3 pts · 336d

Leftover macaroni and cheese makes a mean grilled cheese sandwich filling, then you dip it in tomato soup.

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 336d (4 replies)

Teens these days are Eminem fans? What year is it?

AA5B@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 335d (1 reply)

He’s an interesting kid - likes “oldies” like Eminem but “his older stuff is better”. I recently realized most of his favorite eminem songs were released before he was born. He also likes all the way back through grunge and classic rock that I listen to, and including as far back as Johnny Cash

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 334d

Well, I certainly wasn't trying to diss him, just to be clear. In fact, as someone with a fairly eclectic musical taste myself, respect.

Killer57@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 336d (1 reply)

Tbf, his album from last year debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

Okay but that could all be due to millennials. Doesn’t necessarily mean he’s popular among the youth.

A little iceberg lettuce, some diced tomato, chili spice, shredded cheese, and sour cream, you got yourself a balanced breakfast, if you add some Froot Loops and chocolate milk.

Brewchin@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 336d

Genuinely amazed one (in particular) of my university housemates didn't come up with this abomination.

He'd be devastated to see this... 😅

So at Universal Halloween Horror Nights they have Freddy Fazbear's spaghetti pizza.

Now spaghetti pizza you could argue is not quite as bad as a spaghetti taco, but I really thought spaghetti pizza was an abomination.

That. Shit. Was. Straight. Fire.

The spaghetti pizza was so good that I'm sad now that I genuinely don't know of I am ever going to have that specific meal again...maybe I can order a cheese pizza and make some spaghetti and meatballs and slap it on top? I just don't think it will be the same.

Anywho...I would definitely try those spaghetti tacos.

This looks like the fried noodles in a huge hot dog bun that I've seen in Asia.

PumpkinSkink@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 334d (1 reply)

If these were in soft flour tortillas they'd go hard af.

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 333d

Make them cheesy garlic tortillas and throw some more cheese on top after filling them and this could definitely be a winner.

Not sure how to accomplish the former, I'm thinking maybe baste one side with garlic butter while heating them up in a pan, sprinkle some shredded cheese on top, wait till it's melted, and maybe flip to sear it in a bit. Other side should probably remain untreated for easy handling.

Please report back if you decide to have a go at it.

samus12345@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 336d (1 reply)

This one's not bad. I'd just dump out the spaghetti and eat it by itself.
