"Stealth"

Its stealth the same way all diesel electric subs are.

Except it isnt because it has a Russian maintenance schedule.

Meaning never, and also we'll steal some parts.

The Ukrainian Army has sunk one or two, haven't they? The russians are on some mickey mouse shit.

One. Twice. In a dry dock. They have not been able to eliminate any of the Black Sea submarines in active service. And those submarines are launching missiles.

So no, it is not that easy like the meme says.

sepi@piefed.social · 8 pts · 314d

It's easier than it should be.

Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca · 7 pts · 314d

The one being towed look like an easier target.

CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org · 1 pts · 314d

It is a slight exaggeration. If the submerged, non-broken ones are easy to find it's not public information, although it sounds like the Soviet ones were.

Finding chinese submarine is even impossible, they will be submerged before its even deployed!

Hey maybe thats what North Korea sent that Destroyer under water to find.

They're just preparing for an arpeggio of the blue steel type situation.

Finding a US submarine is easy enough though, just gotta ask someone in the army for you to be invited to a groupchat on signal

psx_crab@lemmy.zip · 12 pts · 314d (1 reply)

Way too hard. Just look around warthunder forum is easier

I suppose you have a better way to store top secret information than an Internet forum?! It's called off-site backup, sweatie.

Austria and Czechia are masters in hiding their subs

To be fair, that was the Soviet Union, and it had communism on its side. < Bolshevik chorus swells >

Booo, that joke fucking sucks

chuckleslord@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 314d (3 replies)

If you're gonna pretend to be awful for humor, just use the tag from the beginning. It's just easier for everyone

plyth@feddit.org · -1 pts · 314d (2 replies)

It is easier but it removes the risk of agreeing and of realizing too late that it was racism. People don't laugh about their own racism if they are warned.

chuckleslord@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 314d (1 reply)

... what? Are you saying you're laying agreement traps for racists? Fucking why? You don't have the ability to do anything with that info here, so there's no benefit to doing so. People can be horrible on their own, they don't need you to lay up the shot for them.

All you're accomplishing is making this space safer for racists to be. And, like, don't do that.

plyth@feddit.org · 2 pts · 314d

No, not for others to write racist comments. But it doesn't matter. It was not a good idea and I will not do it again.
