I suppose it depends on how they died. People have come back from the "dead" before (heart stopped, declared dead, heart starts again kinda shit), and people who fought in WW2 could still be alive. The overlap may be incredibly small, but it's possible.
When I was in school, a teacher told us about how Bill Cosby's son died. One of my classmates asked, after hearing the story, "is Bill Cosby's son still alive?"
