I am honestly shocked that South Korea does not send more aid to Ukraine.

South Korea recently had political turmoil that resulted in a pro-west president being replaced by one more favorable to China.

Their presidential run has been a shitshow lately. One was essentially controlled by a fortune teller, and another tried to turn into a dictator overnight. What the hell is going on over there?

Also their birth rate is the lowest in the world, but like much of Asia, they're fairly xenophobic, so without immigration or kids, they're likely to stop having a working population while the government continues paying out a pension fund, resulting in a permanent recession and/or total collapse starting within the next 10 years. It's WILD that South Korea, for all its successes, is going to collapse BEFORE North Korea, because of xenophobia and sexism.

Are you talking about South Korea here or Reagan and Trump?

Things can apply to many places at once. I'm not sure what America has to do with this. It's not even my country.

You mean the guy who tried to implement martial law to end the corruption investigations against him and his wife?

It's The Artillery Stupid could be a factually correct byline to a history of modern war textbook... this is fantastic news!
I mean "logistics" maybe fits better than artillery but the most scalable way to leverage and focus a logistics advantage is artillery.
RamRabbit@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 291d
I feel like if an artillery shell is in such bad condition it needs refurbishment, it would be easier to just make a new shell instead.
An artillery shell is literally just explosives and an outer shell. The primer is added later. Are they sanding off the rust and refilling it with explosives?

I feel like that would be the case too, but maybe it becomes worth it if you're starved for some or all of the materials included.

World: hehehe, look like all those crazies burn their stockpiles on Ukrainians. Win-win for us: no more shells in Russia and more young educated Ukrainians immigrate to toil for literally free.

the regular wage for immigrants that is. a lot of European unions don't organize the foreigners
sibofficer@sibsocial.republicsiberia.org · 1 pts · 292d
@amino @Diplomjodler3 Why they should? Russian money is frozen in Belgium, but expetct it will be unfrozen which can be use to help a lot of Ukranian refuges in EU.
amino@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 292d
wdym why? because immigrants deserve equal rights and safe working conditions?
Lembot_0005@lemy.lol · -11 pts · 292d
Yes, Russians can do that. But they won't. Why would they? They still see that in perspective they would gain more eventually than they lose in the process.
Harvey656@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 292d
By gain more you mean national debt and a society on the brink?
