If you have this problem and can create files in the directory, where it is stored, create an empty file in the upmost folder of the game called ".nomedia" (with the period).

This will tell android to ignore this folder when searching for pictures and video.

Even easier solution for me, I installed the fossify gallery app and disabled my phones default one, and that lets me selectively whitelist and blacklist media directories

even easier solution for me, i built my own smart phone with my bare hands and programmed my own software with built-in algorithm that auto detects the difference between game assets and the photorealistic drawings that i create with charcoal and pigments i extract from nature myself.

oh wait none of this shit is easier than copying a dummy file into a folder; i was just being silly.

SpongyAneurysm@feddit.org · 4 pts · 267d (3 replies)

Does that also work for the album-art images I have in my mp3-collection? Or will it ignore the music as well?

db2@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 267d (1 reply)

It'll ignore the music. Why isn't your art embedded in the mp3 though?

SpongyAneurysm@feddit.org · 1 pts · 263d

Dunno. Most of that collection I just got from a friend.

Seems to me like having the data just once in a folder is more space efficient than redundantly storing it in every single file's metadata? I mean, its just a few kB each, but even that adds up.

And also there's sometimes not just the cover artwork for an album, but also back-cover, an image of the disc itself and the whole booklet.

Fiery@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 267d

Depending on the image gallery you're using it might respect .noimage

Good gallery apps allow you to include/exclude paths

altkey@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 16 pts · 267d

Or a .nomedia file in a folder irrc.

Zwiebel@feddit.org · 10 pts · 267d

Like Fossify Gallery (former Simple Gallery) for example

The fact that texture files of characters are flattened out never fails to get a laugh out of me. I get the function of it but they look so ridiculous it's hard not to giggle when you see it

xiii@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 267d (1 reply)

If you’d replace the word ‘flattened’ with the specific term ‘unwrapped’ it’s starting to make even more sense.

krashmo@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 267d

Yeah it makes sense it's just funny looking. Like the devs skinned each character and made a pelt rug out of them.

Skullgrid@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 267d

The thing that's weird to me is that it's all continuous instead of a specific way of unfolding the "net"

peteypete420@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 267d

Its also hard when I giggle

Hasn't been updated in yonks, but there's a pretty up to date port being maintained here:

Yeah, I think it’s the Sims one I don’t know. I am so over the Sims four seems to was probably the best. If you like the Sims, you should watch Juno Birch. She’s pretty funny. I don’t know why I just wanna defend people who just want to entertain I can’t do it I get I don’t know how people can be entertainers everything’s embarrassing. I just wanna hide but hey sometimes just be brave right and do something humiliating and don’t worry too much. Y’all can’t take life too seriously just make someone laugh.
