Language Jones is awesome. He covers linguistics, language learning and slang and he presents research in a really accessible way. He's worth following even if you aren't usually into language stuff.
From what I’ve understood there was this rapper who gave a shoutout to his home street in a song (with the hand movement) so wannabe tough gangsters (14 year old children) started mimicking that?
Then the internet would make fun of them by doing the same thing but ironically and from there it all went to shit 💔
